I saw someone (I couldn’t find the post to credit them) post their framed blotter art using tinfoil as the mount/backdrop and I just had to try it.

It looks really cool in real life and catches the light and draws your eye.

I love the little nod to LSD culture in that first actual tabs I (and I assume most people here) ever saw were wrapped in tinfoil.

Allow me to share a couple of my blotter art tributes to the wonderful Victorian artist Louis Wain.
I’ve been a little obsessed with him since seeing many of his original works at Bethlem Psychiatric Hospital’s museum of the mind about 15 years ago. I’ve got another one ready to go to print and a couple more paintings of his I want to translate to blotter. I hope you enjoy these two for the time being!
