Too much attack in MIDI drum crash cymbals for metal

I have come across an issue while recording and mixing music and am wondering if anyone else has encountered something similar. I want a drum sound that is big and punchy and tight sounding, but it seems that every kit that has this sound also features crash cymbals with a ton of attack at the very beginning of the cymbal hit. I'm sure this works great when you want to use the crash to accent certain things, but the beats I am programming are riding on the crash throughout the riff, so it sounds really weird having this huge amount of stick attack every time the crash cymbal is hit.

What I really want is more of a consistent wash of soaring high end frequencies rather than jarring pumping over and over. I have tried reducing the velocity, compressing, eq-ing, transient shaping plugins, etc but I can't seem to really get rid of that attack without affecting the sound of the cymbal too much. The only thing that probably would work is going through and manually automating the beginning of the cymbal hit down but that is very tedious.

Modern and massive 2 and ezx metal machine both have this issue. If anyone knows of another midi pack that might work better or has any other tips for reducing the attack let me know.

Looking for tips on how to acheive a 90s/2000s lofi garage rock sort of sound

So I have been obsessed with bands that have a 90s throwback garage rock sort of sound. I have been trying to figure out how to recreate it in my mixes and I am struggling to get it just right. Its a much darker sound than modern production, but its simultaneously punchy and forward at the same time. I have tried messing around with tape saturation, but that alone doesn't seem to achieve this sound. I'm sure there are many aspects to it, but if anyone has any insight on this I'd love to hear it. Below are 2 tracks that I am referencing:

[TP] Finally pulled the trigger and bought the GameCube version of Twilight Princess

I grew up playing the wii version, but thought the motion controls were kinda dumb and corny. I remember being in middle school in around 2010 and wanting to play the gamecube version because it seemed way cooler, but even back then it was already hard to hunt down a copy. I eventually bought the wii U version later, but never got to play the elusive gamecube version. Now at 28 years old I finally purchased it for $160 on fb marketplace and I can't wait to play it. Which version do you guys think is the strongest?

Low estrogen compared to testosterone. Could this explain my symptoms?

I have been dealing with low libido, lack of drive, flat mood, lack of emotional range, etc for a while and trying to find cause. All my labs are technically in the normal range, but some are on different extremes within the normal range, and I am wondering if this could be a lead.

Testosterone: 892 (high-normal)

Free testosterone: 16.4 (mid range)

Estrodiol: 21 (low normal)

SHBG: 52 (high normal)

The high shbg seems acceptable for the high T. It is eating up a lot of the T while still leaving me a normal amount of free T. The one thing that sticks out is that the estrogen is on the lower side compared to the testosterone. I am wondering if the higher shbg is esting up too much estrogen, leaving me with low free estrogen levels. Just a theory, but my symptoms seem to align with low estrogen symptoms. If anyone has any expertise on this, I'd love to hear another opinion.

Potential gray hair reversal with Vitamin D

I corrected my vitamin D deficiency almost a year ago now and have started finding hairs like the one pictured where the tip is gray and it turns dark towards the root. I am about to turn 28 and have had dispersed gray hairs for a few years that you can only see when you look really closely. This seems to be a sign that some of the gray hair is reversing at least somewhat.
