Everything went downhill after that miraculous 8th seed run in 2023.

I still remember how hopeful we were after that run. We even had a chance to land Dame since he wanted to come here.

The problem was the Blazers didn’t want to budge on the trade because they weren’t satisfied with JJJ and the rest of the package.

Because of that Heat run, the Celtics decided to completely rebuild their roster to counter Miami’s zone defense, which led to them adding Pingus Tingus. That eventually helped them win the championship in 2024.

Meanwhile, the Blazers, the same team we battled with in trade talks, now have promising young stars to rebuild around and are already competing in the playoffs.

Now the Heat feel stuck living in the past. Too mediocre to tank, but not good enough to truly contend.

A lot of our former players are thriving on other teams and finding success, while the Heat got left behind.

Spo is still a great coach, but people are definitely gonna question his legacy since most of his rings came with LeBron.

Exactly 3 years ago, Jokic shoved Suns owner Matt Ishbia onto the court.

One thing I love about Jokic is he doesn’t care who you are or what your status is. Being a CEO means nothing to him. He’s there to handle business and isn’t afraid of anyone.

I kinda miss him, and I’m really looking forward to every move he makes. Even though he’s an antagonist, he feels way more dangerous to Ei Sei than the other states in the series.

I did a bit of research, and it says gratitude can really help, especially if you start your day by listing maybe 5–10 things you’re thankful for before doing anything else.

I tried it for a few days, but my main problem is what am I even grateful for? Maybe I’m just too negative, but I’m still trying.

On the first day, I told myself things like “I’m thankful I’m breathing, thankful for the food on the table, thankful I have a job,” and stuff like that.

But the next day, I barely had anything new to say. Honestly, I live a pretty inactive lifestyle, so I just ended up repeating what I said on day one or making things up that didn’t feel real. As the days went by, it felt more and more fake, and I knew I was just forcing it. That actually made me feel worse, like I was just fooling myself and becoming more miserable.

So I did a 3-hour nonstop walk today, and I realized I was mostly daydreaming the whole time. I think it’s called maladaptive daydreaming, if you know the term.

Does anyone else have the same experience?
