Holy shit, I’m glad I didn’t listen to everyone saying this was piss easy
Hear me out maybe I am just bad af at this game. If I am, I am thankful for my bad skills because I’m finding the difficulty actually pretty challenging here and its fun!
I wanted another Pokemon game that’s remotely on the difficulty level of Platinum for so long!
So far in this game, I have died more in my first 4 hours than in Platinum I think.
I already lost 1 time to Nemona or what her name is, 1 timr actually to a wild pokemon and now 2 times to the Bug type Gym leader Teddy Pokemon even tho I came with 6 Pokemon (I do have water tho so thats probs why I sucked here)
Anyways, I am really happy to see that this isn’t braindead easy. It may not be hard at all for experienced players, but I’m having a good time as a casual!
Curious to see the star team bosses since they r challenging too, I heard!
So.. are all shops here just “menus”? Rather than being enterable
I am 2h in and thought I love this game so far, until I came to the main city and realized gamefreak was being very lazy once again.
Every single shop here cannot actually be entered as a building but gets limited to a single UI screen.
It was so much fun exploring all these buildings and shops in Platinum :/
As if Gamefreak doesn’t have the budget or manpower to do this :/
Is the Open world here really that bad?
Hey! I’m a casual Pokemon player (who does like games that are not piss easy though) whose favorite pokemon games were Heartgold & Platinum / Pearl Diamond
I heard that the game here has absolutely lifeless environments and more importantly, broken scaling (or lack thereof) that makes many battles a literal cakewalk
I was interested in the game mainly because the switch 2 patch finally secured a 60fps mode for once, can y’all tell me if you’d consider the game worth it for a platinum lover? Or are there better alternatives on switch?
What is the satisfying part in this game that hooks you?
Edit: Oh and is there something like the Elite 4 or another endgame activity that is fun?
“How can this little man score like THAT”
Hi! People keep telling me to put a container / trailer onto my truck (like the very first one you get) for better traction. I visited every trailer store and NONE have any trailer that sits directly on your entire truck.
Does anyone have issues with scratchy engine sounds on headphones?
The game audio sounds really low quality for some reason on my headphones. All other games and music works perfectly though?
Is anyone else’s Image Gen also failing 7/10 times? It’s not a content issue because it will eventually do it after 3 or 4 tries. Its really exhausting tbh
I want to love this game but its hard to not give up
Never in my life, not once, have I had THIS much trouble to progress
I even bought the Tire DLC pack for 2.99 so I can finally access off road tires (I am still level 3 after 12h of playing because I CANNOT GET ANY JOBS DONE) so I am not forced to do jobs in heavy terrain with street tires
The off road tires made things a notch easier but as soon as a trailer is attached on my truck, things start getting bad.
Why does every single god damn job have to be so hard? Why can’t there at least be some easy jobs to get my footing?
I have been at the materials order job for 3h now and still didn’t accomplish any of the 3 objectives.
I CANNOT fucking level up if the game’s early missions are designed like endgame bosses
I keep losing my fucking trailers because they either get stuck or they flip over. And I cannot recover the trailers, because I don’t have a proper truck with a crane yet. I checked the entire map here and there’s not a single new truck in this area that I can collect. So I am stuck with this one it seems
It feels like I am losing more than I am progressing. I love the premise, but I hate how much I suck at this game.
I’ll give it another hour or two tomorrow and then probs call it quits honestly.
Does anyone have any idea how I can get this massive trailer home? It is parked right where tons of mud is. I have offroad tires but cant even move it one inch.
Why does this game force me to use street tires for such a long time???
I’m loving the game tbh but the fact that I am 6h in, Level 4 and therefore still have to do all the jobs in heavy terrain with fucking street tires is tiring… Like, it feels as if the game is artificially making everything as hard for me as possible
I just want the damn all-terrain tires at least. I can’t get the jobs done because they require me to go into terrain that I can’t with those street tires
It honestly feels like a design issue.
Am I missing something, what is the best way to collect my pickup car on the map?
So I am 5h in and at the beginning I didn’t understand the garage / recover system so I left that pickup car out in the city.
Now, I am confused how can I get it into my garage? Because it doesn’t seem to be as simple as “click it on the map and click recover”
I have to physically drive to it with my truck, but the problem then is that I, of course, cannot drive home with 2 vehicles at once.
So I’d have to exit my truck to drive the other vehicle home, but THEN the truck will be left behind instead.
Clearly I am missing a feature or smth, what is it?
I’m new and overwhelmed. How do you progress?
I need Mud-compatible tires in order to get to the areas I need to fulfill jobs.
I cannot get Mud-compatible tires because I need to be level SIX (!!). I am currently level 2
I cannot get to level six, because I cannot accept jobs, because my truck is equipped with garbage street tires and gets stuck immediately in any mud. The winch would help, IF there would be any points to winch toward
You cann see I am very overwhelmed, what am I missing here?
Am I crazy for thinking the steering with controller is really, really bad in this game?
I’m liking pretty much everything else
Even though I did switch from the “Controller” preset to the “Steering Wheel” preset (how tf is this not the default?) I still think the steering is too jumpy
Like, in other games it is so comfortable and smooth to just gently tip the analog stick so your car or truck moves the way you want
In this game, it feels like at first you dont feel any input at all for the truck’s steering, so you push it a bit further, but then suddenly the truck moves way too abruptly even though you only slightly adjusted the steering
And the worst is, there is a sensitivity setting ingame for the right stick, but not for the left stick, which is for steering :/
Is an RTX 4080 & i7 12700k enough for the Snowymoon Mod ?
Many thanks!
I notice that the game scarcely reaches 60 fps in 4k with maxed out base settings. How power hungry is the snowy moon mod?
At this point, it doesn’t matter anymore when we get the next marketing material.
Does anyone feel the same? The game will release in a few months anyways. Their permanent forced marketing silence just became annoying so I’m simply not following any news or leaks anymore until like the last week before its release maybe.
It really does good to simply forget about the games existence on focus on the other plentiful things in life (and the massive amount of amazing games that came out those last months)
