This is set in 18k gold but the stone looks so fake. Is this something other than synthetic?
The center line doesnt move at all but at the ends of the line you can see move.

First photo are gold stick pins mostly from ebay, the second is a gold Amethyst brooch. The third is a 9ct 375 not 925 gold gate bracelet. The fourth and fifth is 9ct opal ring, next is rings. The pinky and index rings were gold stick pins i had converted. The engagement ring is antique tiffany from ebay that i paid a lot for but not nearly close to what it appraised for. The citrine was either a ebay or fb find. I knew it was gold from the prong settings. I had the pin removed and converted to a brooch. She accidentally kind of messed it up but i wasnt mad. The watch i could tell was gold from subsequent pics sent in messages and the locking mechanism on the end. I got that a few days ago. The rings i just went to go get also a few days ago and got them for 120. Then the pic of the stick pin before it was converted. Then a victorian gold mesh bracelet. Unstamped but i knew it was victorian by the enamel and style and it was local so i drove to get it for $40. Its 14k gold. Last one i cant add any more photos but its 18k jabel link bracelet i got in a high end antique store for $100 which is way too much to charge for a 10k gf bracelet but obviously definitely worth it for the fact they overlooked the other stamps.
There's treasures all around you. I probably just spend more than most looking for them. Id consider myself young to say im experienced at this but ive been doing this for almost 10 years now. I dont sell everything i get but the things i do, you can hate me but i don't see why id be required to undersell just because i got very lucky buying it. I have one rule that i do not negotiate a lower price if i know without a doubt what im getting. I dont like negotiating anyways because I'm not going to want to lie if they ask me what its worth. I have gone and helped friends , friends of friends and even management at stores with prices, testing etc. Ive sold pieces for friends and family and taken nothing but fees back. Above all i love the history and craftmanship but im not pretending im super well off. When I first started, reselling got me out of debt and allowed me to set myself up to not live paycheck to paycheck. I regret selling many of my items but at the time i had little options. Now i set my prices pretty high and hope no one buys them. I sell little pieces to make back my purchase prices.
Im a gold / vintage jewelry collector and happened across this watch for $250 on fb marketplace. I know its for men but the face is small enough i think i can get away with it. It runs but im too scared to overwind it so i plan to go ask a jeweler how to do it properly. I would like to replace the glass because there are scuffs that make it blurry.
