Can someone help me with how I should finger this piece?

I made the sheet music myself if anyone's wondering. That's why there is a huge empty space at the bottom. Anyway!

In the Left hand, after Lento (66bpm section) what would be the best way to finger that, I find the note intervals to be a bit big, and I'm not sure how to do it properly per chord, since they are all different.

Could anybody help me?

How can I be more motivated to play?

I haven't touched my guitars in like a year now. Mostly just played bass and drums, and even that has been very little. I feel I don't have the energy to play and that I'm too bad at each instrument, how can I overcome this?

I have really cool guitars, basses, drums, that I want to play a lot but everything just feels so much harder, and yeah, it's really annoying.

Has anyone been there? What did you do?

(fyi not all my instruments in the pic)

How the crap do I fix this squeaking??!?

I have played on this piano for a while, it's our home's piano, it sounds beautiful except the sustain pedal is and has been this squeaky and I have no clue how to fix it... I am getting so annoyed.

The pieces I play are very soft and mellow so mid chord change you hear SQUEEEAAAK and it just ruins the mood.

Does Anyone know how to minimize or completely fix this issue?

New Writer!!

I found this almost unused brother deluxe 220 for 35€ in berlin today! And it's green! It's even green! My favourite color!

I love it.

The types are super clean and there are no cracks or really any cosmetic damage, and it writes perfectly!

Platen is a bit hard, but still grippy, but isn't it beautiful!

No alignment issues or anything just a perfect machine!

Cracks in Sq-1 V2 Edge

Should I be concerned about this crack? It is stressing me because I don't want my square 1 to break, it's a really nice cube and I'm about to go on holiday and I'm going to take it with me so it would suck so much if it broke...

There are no signs of damage on the stems only on the edges, what could cause this???

New Mains!!!

AoFu V5 Tripple track UV

I have done 7x7 for a little while and sure I'm no 3 minute solver I average about 6 min, but U wanted something nice since I really love 7x7. So I bought the AoFu V5.

I am SO happy with this cube, it is exactly how I want a 7x7 to feel, the turning is so light that by just getting used to it I got a new PB of 5:23 and my previous was 5:47 and to me that says a lot.

It also reminds me very much of the AoChuang 5x5 (same series so makes sense, but still?!?!)

Anyway, next cube!

MGC Square-1 V2 UV

I bought this before knowing any of the bad stuff that was around it so I was really scared but it is my first REAL Squan, like a magnetic good one. So I don't have high TPS or anything but I really love Squan. People reported a lot of edge breakage and I was scared but I watched Cube Master's video on it and it's his main (his was also the "fixed" one with new plastic and new mold" so I though ig he still uses it then I can definitely too considering I got the newer batch.

One thing is true the screw is literally so god damn hard when you first get it but after using a really good screw driver it loosened up well.

I personally tightened the cube a little but mot too much from factory and I am IN LOVE it's so smooth and I love the extra magnet strength on the slice turns, the clicky feeling is what I wanted.

Also my prevous main for Squan was the X-Man Volt V1, it was so locky and layers were slow, for me, and I was at best cracking out 50sec-1:00 averages, and by literally just getting this cube I'm down to 40 sec (pic is outdated by 24 hours🤣)

DaYan GuHomg Pro+ (54mm maglev)

This cube is without a doubt probably one of the best budget cubes, I loved the feel. I bought it for OH since I wanted a smaller cube. And it is so good! I would recommend this to anyone getting into OH and I loooove it

YJ Mini 7x7 Pocket cube (55mm)

Not a main LOL but god damn is it good! It is really fun and it turns surprisingly well!! I am still shocked about the fact that they got it so small and fulmy magnetic.

Absolutely a must have because it is just so fun!!!! (WRM V9, my main, for reference (also a 55mm cube))

QiYi M Pro 6x6 (Ball-Core UV)

This is my first ever 6x6 and I have to say that for the price, that this thing has UV and a ball-core, is just insane.

It would be mean to compare it to the AoFu or the AoShi because they are just different and also I don't have the AoShi. But none the less, the QiYi 6x6 is really good!! It was rather slow out of the box and a little too tight for my liking, but after 20-30 solves, loosening it and putting some DNM-37 in it it feels really smooth and fast, and more stable because of the ball core. It must also be said that, all my new mains have UV coating. (Except the GuHong)

I LOVE UV coating! I need it on my cubes. My hands are very dry and so matte, frosted or most finishes like those just slip out of my hands and I don't like it, so I really enjoy UV and I knoe the frosting disappears with time but the feel of a UV cube is different too, like a warm touch, I love it!

But yeah the QiYi 6x6 after getting a little warmed up and broken in feels really nice, it's a nice puzzle, not too expensive but so SO worth the money and feels really good after minor adjustments :)

Anyway! Hope you enjoy my opinion on these cubes and maybe it helps you decide on a cube??🤨🤨🤨

SQ-1 CS Help

I have been getting into square-1 again after a few months, but I am struggling so much with cubeshape...

Currently my main is a X-Man Volt V1 I know it is bad lol but I have an MGC SQ-1 V2 coming, and I did buy it before I watched videos on all the drama, but I did some more research into customer reviews and the new reviews (AKA after the redesign of the edge piece and the new plastic) I thought maybe it wasn't such a bad choice after all and I am really excited.

ANYWAY How the crap do I get good at cube shape, like I looked at one method but it doesn't work for all cases and it is really annoying because I can get like 30-40 sec solves when I have a CS I can actually do or at least figure out how to do but when I'm stuck for ages doing CS I get like 1:30 solves, I average 47 sec btw, PB is 27 (somehow)

Any tips on how you pros learnt cube shape and got good at it?

ITS DONE!!

I completed 99% of what I wanted woth this typewriter only thing left is carwax but I don't have any right now.

I have spent the whole day cleaning this thing and getting it back to working order, taking away as much old gunk and rust and I'm happy.

The writer is so quiet and so god damn smooth that I just need to type on it, it is amazing!

Thank you all for all the tips!
critique or tips as always are appreciated!

Tell me what you think please!

Facit 1620 ribbon spool problem.

I am currently repairing an old facit and I can't get the ribbon system to reverse automatically and for some reason the ribbon spool gear won't move and I don't know how to fix this.

Facit 1620 (ca. 1960-70s) Repair.

I was just gifted this as a repair, like they gave it to me because they know I like typewriters and it needs repairing.

Now, this is the stickiest typewriter I have ever felt, there is a bunch of surface rust though seems nothing has actually seaped into the metal, How could I safely remove this rust?

I was thinking that, since this typewriter is so dirty and grimey I should take everthing apart and rince each and every part by hand.

This would be my first time completely taking apart a typewriter though, does anyone have ANY tips? I want to actually restore because I do actually use these and this one seems like a real charmer.

Everhthing is sticky, basket, keys, ribbon spool-holders, carriage, even the escapement mechanism is so sticky that it jams up.

There is dirt everywhere and I do want ti thoroughly clean the machine.

ANY tips are very appreciated.

I want this to look and feel like new.

Also the platen is surprisingly soft..

Last serviced: 4/87
I think that means April of 1987 so yeah.

Thank you all!

How to be better

I've been doing roux for a little bit less than a year now and I average around 15-17, and I practice relently, I do slow solves and I do block studying with the OnionHoney Roux Trainer, and I'm trying to be super optimal and find the best solitions. But my solves go from 40-59 moves and thats is way too much and I don't get how to be more efficient, and I'm getting really frustrated because I don't get what I'm not getting.

I still use 2 look CMLL but even if I knew full CMLL I wouldn't be able to be averaging sub 10 which is ultimately my goal. I want to average like 8 seconds or something, but I don't get why I'm so bad!!!!!

Can someone help me out or give some tips? Maybe some tips on block building too?

Is sub 18 good?

I've been cubing since March 2025 so about 1 year+

And I've been sub 18 for about a month with a PB of 11.454 and a couple 11 sec solves and 12 sec too, but mostly 13-17sec

How good is this improvement? Or am I really behind?

Also FYI I spent my first 4-5 months doing CFOP and switched to Roux and been doing Roux ever since.

I see people getting 15 sec solves after 6-10 months and I'm super impressed but yeah!

Been solving every day almost!
