I have a mini pc in my living room for emulation. I haven't figured out how to get the newer mods working in Batocera, which isn't a huge issue. For now, I'm going to just play the base game, but I haven't figured out a set of sliders to use. Anyone have any recommendations for the default rosters?
Been using a Beelink N100 mini pc with batocera for a bit. Thinking of trying this out with Bazzite. This will be in my living room. I don't expect bleeding edge, just emulation and some smaller games. Anyone try this setup and how did you set up yours?
Or am I better off finding a different PC

Her additional armor parts aren't doing it for me. Lower part of the mask keeps falling out. Her head and neck won't stay on...
That last bit I'm not necessarily annoyed with. Just feels like she has no pose ability with the additional parts. Maybe I did something wrong somewhere
So I'm installing a tone monster preamp in my bass. Bought a set of pickups to go with it, but they won't fit. I have a set of EMG geezer butler pickups in there now. Curious about trying them, but I'm needing to use the quick connect system. Has anyone removed one of the ends of these so they can use the bare wire?
Curious if anyone knows what model Schecter bass this is? Curious about a double precision pickup setup and didn't know Schecter made one at some point. I just dont know the model.

I'm a bit torn at the moment. I've had an Ibanez SR890. I love Ibanez basses, but hate active electronics. Put in an EMG Geezer Butler set and converted it to passive, still not getting the sounds I like. In fact, I'm finding this bass is a bit too hyped around 900hz which is all I hear when playing through it.
A while ago, I picked up something different: sterling ray5. After replacing the preamp to a more classic stingray variant, and rewiring the pickup in parallel instead of series...still not getting what I'm looking for.
My favorite sounds are from guys like duff mckagan, frank bello, Rex brown, Mike Starr - all play a PJ bass of some variation. Part of me wants a Spector or a Yamaha BB, but I'm worried about falling into the same sound complaints I'm having with the Ibanez. I know spectors sound is influenced by their electronics which I'm already iffy on. The BB is another PJ, but is the reversed P on my Ibanez going to be that much different than the Yamaha?
Was at GC and played a Schecter omen elite 5 on a whim. It's over my price range for now, but it ticks off so many boxes:
Five string without a baseball neck like my stingray feels
Passive, but with options
Lack of a preamp for me to go ocd over
I don't want to fuss with knobs. If a switch can go from parallel to split to series, per pickup, that's more than enough for me to get the sound I want out of it. How come more companies don't do this?
I'm a little worried these are GC exclusive and likely be discontinued at some point. Are there any other basses that are similar without going the custom route?
Been putting her together, but I really don't understand the design idea behind the elbow. Mine just keeps disconnecting and it's a bit of a bummer. Is there something I'm missing with this or something I can use to make that joint more snug?
