Finished my first Pokemon evolution line!
After taking a 10 year break from embroidery I decided to start a project of embroidering my fave pokemon evolutions to frame and display. This is the first! Pretty happy with how it turned out.

Now I just have to finish painting the pokeball frame for it. Next up I’ve started working on the Primarina line…
OMG my fingers and I hate doing French knots!! Other than that I’m pretty happy with how things coming along. I’m a perfectionist so I see every single flaw - but I’m trying not to! Also planning to add beads.
As an independent who works exclusively with neurodivergent kids and teens (and also has one of my own on the scheme) I’m seriously afraid that I may be out of a job in a couple of years. The cohort that I work with seems to be a main target in terms of people they want to cut from the scheme entirely with these new changes. I’m feeling so torn and upset because I absolutely love my job, I’m good at what I do, and I greatly care about the families I work with. However, I’m thinking that I probably need to be figuring out a back up plan so that I can move out of the industry if my fears about the changes are correct? am I overreacting? I realize that the changes won’t be immediate so I have time to plan ahead, but I don’t really see myself working with a different cohort of participants since my skills and experience are all based around neurodiverse young people and I feel very aligned with this group (also ND myself). Is anyone else in the same boat?
