I'm looking to upgrade the GPU on my PC so that I can run games like CP77 and BG3 with some mods + mid/high graphics settings. I genuinely don't know how my PC has been managing these games as is 😔

My current specs:

CPU: Intel i5 10400f

RAM: Corsair (8×3) 24GB DDR4 2666mhz

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4GB

Monitor: MSI Optix G241VC

I'm looking for something that's going to get me comfortably through college, my budget is about €400 and I hope to buy secondhand from CEX if I can. Right now I'm inclined to stay with NVIDIA but it seems as though other brands might be better value for money? Does anyone have any reccomendations about what brands/models I should be looking for? And is is better to get 8GB or 12GB, how much of a difference will it make to my current GPU?

Thanks for any help, I'm doing my best to educate myself on this stuff but I'm still not much further than the "bigger number means good" mentality 😅
