It’s actually tragic that even with DNS keeping up their undefeated streak in the LCK, they still can't compete for a Worlds spot.

Just how bad were they with Pyosik that even with this insane run with Sharvel right now, they still can't have a chance to secure a Worlds seed? Feels so rough for them, man. Would've been so fun to watch them keep going and see just how far they could actually push it 🙁

We are not done yet!

Hey guys, GENG fan here.

I know this one hurts. We felt the same way when G2 eliminated us at First Stand, and then T1 knocked us out so we couldn’t make it to MSI 😅. It’s never easy seeing your team fall short on the international stage.

But it’s not over. EWC is coming in a week, and I believe both GENG and T1 can bounce back stronger. We still have so much to prove, and I’m sure our teams will show the world our true power once again.

Keep your heads up! We’ll get another chance, and hopefully we’ll both meet again for another Game 5 banger series, no matter who wins in the end.

In-depth Analysis of Faker's Aurora

To preface: this isn’t meant to be a doompost or hate post. I’ve been watching and supporting Faker since 2013, which is exactly why I find this situation interesting to discuss. I can’t recall another champion over a meaningful sample size where he has looked this consistently uncomfortable (maybe Vladimir 😄 - oh.. dark times...).

(And before anyone mentions Azir, I think that situation was different, more about practice and timing, which he later proved)

At this point, Aurora just doesn’t seem to fit Faker in pro play, and both stats and eye test are starting to line up on that. She’s reportedly sitting at around a 30% winrate over 10+ professional games, which is extremely unusual for Faker given his 13+ year career and generally very stable champion pool across metas. I don’t think this is a "washed" discussion at all. It feels more like a style mismatch.

Even Caedrel and other respectable figures have pointed out that Aurora doesn’t really feel like a Faker champion, and it makes sense when you break down his strengths.

Faker has always excelled on champions that let him:

  • create proactive impact
  • force fights
  • control teamfights
  • generate map pressure

That’s why picks like Azir, Orianna, Galio, Ryze, Taliyah, or Lissandra fit him so well. Even when behind, they still give him tools to influence fights. Aurora is almost the opposite.

Aurora is spacing-heavy, punishes mistakes very hard, and relies more on controlled positioning than proactive playmaking. If early tempo slips, she can feel hard to impact the game with. So a lot of his Aurora games end up looking similar:
Early lane is awkward, he falls slightly behind in tempo, still tries to force plays, but the champion doesn’t consistently convert that into meaningful impact.

Even the recent loss, while not really his fault individually, it still reinforced that feeling. He wasn’t inting, but the champion still ended up feeling low impact regardless of game state. And it's a pattern at this point, as even those 3 games that he won Aurora - that low impact feeling was always there.

That’s the key difference. On his signature picks, Faker still feels relevant even from behind through setup, threat, or playmaking. On Aurora, that presence is much harder to see still.

Mechanically he doesn’t look incapable either. His solo queue Aurora seems fine. It just looks like the champion asks for a playstyle that doesn’t naturally align with how he tends to approach the game in pro play.

Do you think Faker eventually adapts his playstyle to make Aurora work, or does T1 eventually just move away from the pick entirely?
