Turn down for what??? Pacers Summer League Starts 7/10!

Deep in the annals of July, one thing I always look forward to is summer league. And tis the season!

Over the years, I’ve heard others’ stories and experiences about attending summer league. I’ve heard about the chill vibes and randomly running into players between games, so much so that one of my sports dreams is actually to go to Summer League.

So I’ve got some Summer League discussion starters for yall to embrace our current moment on this Pacers journey.

  1. Who is gonna be on the summer league roster? Who are you looking forward to seeing? Is there any way the players we see this summer could actually break through and make an impact in the regular season?

  2. Have you attended summer league games in the past? Any lore you can share? (smoke a bowl with Jeff Foster? Get a golf tip from Jim O’Brien? Share sexually charged eye contact with Lance after an emphatic dunk? This is the kinda stuff I wanna hear)

  3. If the Pacers win the summer league championship, should we hang a banner? Would you purchase a 2026 summer league championship commemorative t shirt and DVD with exclusive behind the scenes interviews with coaches and players?

On paper, is this year’s roster better than the 24/25 team? How many wins do you predict?

There is an argument to be made that this year’s roster is better than the 24/25 team.

  1. A lot of this depends on Tyrese’s return, but I expect nothing to change with his court vision. Tyrese will be the engine once again, though it could take some time and, for his long term health, I hope he plays in only 60-65 games. What do you expect from Ty this year? I’ve never been more emotionally invested in a player’s return.

  2. While Zubac brings a different skill set than Myles, I believe Zubac will have a better overall “wins above replacement” skillset than Myles. With all the moves around centers in recent days, I also think Zubac’s contract may be the best for a center of his quality. That brings me to my next point.

  3. The NBA is largely moving towards seeing depth as the most important part of building a championship team. Even after losing Mathurin, I think our depth is just as strong as that 24-25 team. Mathurin had occasional bursts of scoring, but he was also streaky and came with some other liabilities. I think Oubre could provide a lot of that, with the added bonus of better defense. What’s more, we have a better starting C and better C depth than the 24-25 squad.

I see this year’s team as a 47 to 50 win squad, even in a much improved Eastern conference. What say you?

  1. How many wins are we getting this year?
  2. What do you predict for Tyrese this year?
  3. Is this year’s depth equal to or better than the depth of the 24-25 squad?
  4. Is Zubac a better overall “wins above replacement” guy when compared to Myles?

When are we going to see Charlie Condon?

I would love to see this dude come join the pound with all our other dawgs soon. He is absolutely raking in AAA and has little left to prove there

The most recent episode of the Rockies Insider podcast predicted the possibility of a call up during the homestand against the Marlins

It would be good vibes during the 4th of July week to get this fella up here and playing at Coors, right in the smack dab of the dawg days of summer

When do you suppose we’ll see this dude bop on up to Denver?

Paid for by Diana DeGette for Congress

Quarter included for scale. This mailer is huge, yet there was apparently no space for information about DeGette or her qualifications

This team’s got some dawgs

Not saying we are going to make the playoffs or anything crazy, but, for the first time in a long while, I can see how some of our pieces could be key contributors to a competitive team soon.

Carigg? Dawg.

Rumfield? Dawg.

Goodman? Dawg.

Dollander? Dawg.

We got some dawgs, and this team has some bite.

Would 3 1st round picks + Obi + Jarace enough to land Trey Murphy? It is time for bold action

We simply can’t include Nembhard or Nesmith in any deal. Would 3 1sts be enough?

Fuck the Knicks

Stuff young kids can do at a Rockies game?

Hey all,
Apologies if this has been asked a bunch of times, but I didn’t see it anywhere on recent posts.

I’m taking my 6 year old to the game later today. I would like him to get into baseball, but the reality is that games alone are a hard ask for complete, undivided attention from a 6 year old. So I’m looking for some things to do to break up the game into smaller chunks. I’m thinking:

-the play area
-pitch speed clock
-going to the highest seat in the stadium
-saying what’s up to Dinger
-running the bases after today’s game

Is there anything else you know about or recommend for young ones at Coors?

Difference in on-site Disney hotel options?

Hi everyone,
My partner and I are planning our trip for late January / early February with our 7 and 3 year old. We will probably do 4 days Disney World, 3 Universal Studios.

One of the first things we want to set up is on-site lodging for Disney World. I’ve heard that on site lodging has the benefit of early entry, among other things.

When I call the Disney number directly to ask about prices, I’ve received a quote for just the tickets, as well as tickets + lodging. I’m curious if anyone knows more about the difference in Disney hotel options. Is there a web site or someone with lived experience who can speak to the preferable options?

KP: If you are truly sorry, reduce the price of all Pacers merchandise to 23 dollars (in honor of Aaron Nesmith) for one day.

You got nothing to be sorry for KP, but, as a token of good will to this bruised and battered fanbase, I propose that you reduce the price of all Pacers merchandise to 23 dollars for one day. Ball’s in your court!

So many comments around here revel in what is perceived as Jokic’s “downfall” because the Nuggets lost their first round series.

I got no dog in this fight. Just a Pacer fan waiting til next year’s championship.

To my eyes, the dude elevated last year and this year’s team to 50+ wins.

He won a championship for Denver (the first ever).

Even if his teams never win another one, he’s not gonna be out there team hopping. He’s arguably done more for the Nuggets than Reggie did for the Pacers.

Yet people out here reveling in his downfall. Why do you care so much? Only one team is gonna end up not getting “exposed”, and it’s the foul baitingest, softest championship team I’ve ever seen. Holmgren out there looking like he has tuberculosis every night, but Jokic is soft? Get outta town!
