World cup watch party?

With everyone wanting to watch today's game at 1, are there any good public watch parties around Markham/York region?

Good run clubs for average speed

Hi everyone,

I went to my first run with the So Fun Run Club this weekend. It's pretty crazy but everyone there was super fit and had a 6 pack body. Their slowest easy pace was 5:30/km.

Is there a club that does easy pace runs between 6:30-7:30 pace, and tempo runs between 5:20-5:45? And not only offer these "slower" paces but actually has a good group of people running these paces?

I recall a couple years ago when buying tickets to Tokyo's celebration there was all sort of silly nonsense involved with buying tickets. I seem to recall I had to create multiple profiles with different email addresses to buy multiple tickets. Also getting access to the panel sessions was a pain as it allowed only one seat to be reserved per profile and you had to log in with different profiles to try and get everyone in your party a seat. My memory on this is a bit foggy, but does anyone know if the ticket buying process will be more user friendly this time around or any other things we need to be aware of heading into the ticket sales period?

This past Monday being a beautiful day and so many people out running, walking, cycling on the streets, you would think drivers would be a bit more cautious.

After numerous close calls of drivers pulling out of side streets and not looking both ways and coming to a complete stop when I'm crossing the street, I've pretty much had it. This driver looked left for oncoming traffic as he was turning right onto a street, but didn't care to look at the right side of his car (where I was crossing) before turning. Luckily I always make sure to make eye contact with drivers before crossing and I knew he was going to run into me if I continued to cross the street. This is also by far the most frequent type of incident that I see when running/walking - apparently it's called tunnel vision driving.

From now on I am going to wear an Insta360 Go camera on me when I go for runs, and if this happens again, I will use this program called Road Watch to submit the video, license plate and face of the driver. Apparently it will send a warning letter on first offence. But if the offense is serious enough or there are repeat occurrences, the police can charge the individual.

Has anyone ever submitted anything to road watch, and has it worked? I'm just looking for ways to make the roads safer for all residents here, especially with the weather warming up and more people out on the streets.
