I'm planning on getting either a Fender Player II strat in Sunburst with a HSS configuration, or Player II Jag in sunburst, and I'll be pairing then with the Fender Mustang Micro amp. I'm switching from bass after a year, and intend to use it for playing the likes of Thin Lizzy, pearl jam, temple of the dog, Cream, SRV, Zeppelin, STP, Nirvana, Jeff Buckley, the stones, the police, the doors, stone roses, RHCP, Oasis, Fleetwood Mac, the smiths, Hendrix, the beatles, and some other adjacent stuff. What do you guys think?

I've heard some people say that the player series, and therefore the player ii series, is just a continuation of the standard series. If so, is it worth paying the extra maybe 200 euros for a player ii compared to a standard? Important to mention I have no problem paying extra

I'm getting a player ii strat as my first electric guitar (switching from bass), and I'm wondering whether it's better to get a hss or sss version. Any ideas?

I'm getting a player ii but I'm totally stuck between both colours, with the rosewood fretboard on each with a hss configuration. Any ideas, or merits to each?

I've been playing bass for almost a year, and have been using a squier affinity pj bass and honestly really liked it. I've gotten to the stage now where I could in good confidence call myself advanced, and can play stuff like yyz by Rush and some Primus stuff like Tommy the Cat. I want to get my first guitar, and am stuck between the Fender affinity strat or the Classic vibe Jag. What do you guys think, of do you have any other suggestions? I want it to last, and to be put to good use.

Been seeing quite a lot of posts online regarding this for a while, even including before and afters in very similar/same lighting. I was wondering if anyone has experimented with this, because if so, it could be an extremely high ROI.
