Firefighting aircraft

This Sikorsky Tarhe goes over my house about a dozen times every day. They’re fighting the 24,000-acre Grapevine fire between here and Caliente Nevada.

This is a former military heavy lift helicopter fitted with a 2,650 gallon tank (22,000 lbs of water). Not sure, but they may be filling from temporary reservoirs on the Nevada side, as their flight path usually shoots past the fire to a spot near a farm and then back to the fire. That strategy seems it would save fuel, too, as the bird can only fly 2.5 hours before refueling its 1,300 gallon tank.

There’s also UH-60 Blackhawk working the same fire along with a smaller Bell helicopter.

Some of you may know more about the operation. Share if you can.

PDR-able?

Coworker’s truck door (2025 F150) was caught be the wind and hit the rear door of my 2024 Kia Niro.

PDR guy said “that’s a deep, complex dent” and that he’d require four Benjamins. Suggested that only a highly skilled tech could do it and others might make it worse.

Can this be corrected by PDR or does it require another type of repair?

Thoughts?
