just updated tails, i had the same issue in previous version:

i start OnionShare, i start chat server, opens fine in tor browser, then i type, everything still good, i hit ENTER and no text appears. Nothing happens. The end.

Am i the only one? Tried rebooting many times. Even after this update.

OnionShare 2.6.3 (i was unable to install the 2.6.5 flatpak)

Installed the app on new phone, tried logging in, then got this "For your security, we've locked your account after detecting some unusual activity. To keep using Reddit, reset your password."

I tried many times, quite some hassle, but it finally worked.

But i still can't log in on the phone. "invalid username or password" for the old and new password.

What's next?

My question is instantly removed in r/help.

It doesn't seem to work so far.

Old phone, create sync chain, scan qr with new phone, synced, all good.

If i leave sync chain with Delete Sync Account, all is gone from new device.

So i first delete the old device (with trash icon) from sync on the old device itself, all good, things remain on the new phone.

Once i remove the new phone from sync, everything is gone again. why? really?

So i have to keep this chain running? Even when only one device uses it?

I really don't like. Wtf Brave? How do keep the data on new device??

I am unable to install Kraken Desktop on Linux Mint 22.3 (Zena), Ubuntu 24.04.

I downloaded the official Linux packages from the Kraken website. The Debian package reports the following version:

Version: 1.19.0-1

When installing the package using:

sudo dpkg -i kraken-x86_64-debian-linux-gnu.deb

I receive the following error:

kraken_desktop depends on libssl1.1 (>= 1.1.1); however:
Package libssl1.1 is not installed.

Linux Mint 22.3 / Ubuntu 24.04 no longer provides libssl1.1.

I also tried the standalone Linux build. Running:

./kraken_desktop

produces:

error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.1.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

This suggests that Kraken Desktop 1.19.0-1 is built against OpenSSL 1.1, which is not compatible with current Ubuntu 24.04-based distributions.

Why does Kraken Desktop app freeze after some idle time? Sometimes it's just one minute i browse the internet, come back to Kraken Desktop and i find it in a frozen UI state, non-responsive, have to close and restart the app. Sometimes it just crashes. That's not very workable, right?

Any solutions to this?

System: Kraken Desktop v0.16.0 , Linux Mint 22.3 (Zena), Ubuntu 24.04 noble.
