i'll take Brusha and Looey for example, their stats are the same but what differs is their abilities, Looey's ability let him distract while Brusha is more on extracting and supporting the team

another example which i feel its less than Brusha dn Looey is Coal and Flutter, both have high mobility and low extraction, their ability makes them a bit different enough, Flutter's ability makes her a survivalist while Coal's ability is for support, but in the end, both are used as distractors

i played many roguelikes before and after Dandy's World ahd i have to say, Dandy's is nothing like a roguelike.

ima take Limbus Company for comparison, in that roguelike, you build a team to enter a dungeon and the floors are randomized, yea yea its the same as dandys world but in shops, you can also buy items that permanently buffs your run, dandy only sell you consumables that you can just use right away and you can also found them throughout the floor.

and in Limbus company when you beat a floor you get cards that gives you rewards as also making enemies harder, making your team stronger, now for dandys world, only the enemies gets stronger, not your team, the only buffs you got is a stamina increase and thats just it, stamina isnt even a good stat
