AIO -leaving the “perfect” man after 5 years.

Partner claims he thought I was awake when he penetrated me and then when he realized I was asleep, kept going and came in me.

“You know I didn’t mean it maliciously”
“Our brains work differently… I guess because I don’t see how you would feel violated, we’re so close!”

After 5 perfect years, I am looking for apartments and splitting. He keeps making me feel like this is a small thing that should be “worked on”

I know I have rose colored glasses on right now - *please I really need some people to tell me how this looks from the outside and if I’m overreacting please. I am so conflicted and freaked out.
