Codex Desktop for Linux: any user reports?

Currently the Codex desktop is only available on Windows and Apple OS. Codex for Linux is CLI only. A developer ported the Mac version over to Debian, Fedora, etc. Installation on Debian is by git clone and make, which makes me a little nervous. I don't want to hose my Debian system. I guess I could use CheckInstall to create a .deb but still... Anyone have experience installing and using codex-desktop-linux?

Delivery Report: China to USA, small order, Global Standard
Given the current uncertainty in US customs and overseas shipping, I thought I would share my experience.
Small order (10 boards) from JCLPCB and chose Global Standard Direct. Order placed Apr 29, boards completed May 3, shipper (YUEN LONG) received package May 4, arrive US customs May 6, shipper GOFO received May 7, delivered to my front porch May 9.
Total time: 10 days. All in all, a good experince, smooth, no complaints.
