What has actually worked for you?

Officially got diagnosed by a neurologist yesterday. I suspected I had it as I fit the description basically to a tee so I started vestibular physiotherapy 2 months ago - I don’t see much of a difference tbh.

I keep reading posts that say “I just woke up and it was better”, but I want to know what I can do to fix this.

Anything that worked for you?

Do SSRI’s work after “poop-out”?

I was on lexapro for 8 years and I had one major panic attack and hastily decided to get off of it. It’s been 6 months. I’ve tried other medications but they haven’t worked well for me. Do you think if I go back to it, it might work?

Did you get PPPD after stopping SSRI?

I was on an SSRI for 8 years. I came off of it too quickly and I now live with constant dizziness. It’s been 5 months. Has this happened to anybody else?

Quitting 2mg cold turkey?

I’ve been taking 2mg for about a month now. I went up to 5mg for 4 days and I’ve reacted poorly to it. So I went back down to 2mg and have been on 2mg for 8 days. My psych says to quit cold turkey but I’m really nervous based off everything I read. How was your experience?

Did you feel lightheaded on abilify?

I’ve been taking it for about a month and I constantly feel weak and like I’m about to pass out - but my blood pressure and blood sugar seem normal (blood pressure a little low). Is this normal?

What did you do to get over the dizziness after h.pylori?

Hi! I’ve been about 3 months post treatment and I still have dizziness spells, which I heard was a symptom some people had. If you had dizziness, how long, and were you able to do anything about it? Thanks :)

Does anybody get stuck in fight or flight after panic attack

I recently did a big exposure (went to a music festival) and it triggered a really bad anxiety episode. The week that follows the panic attack is horrible, my body stays in fight-or-flight mode and suddenly everything feels scary. I’m anxious to do anything, even eat.

For those who experience this, what actually helps? Do you keep living life as normal and push through it or do you listen to your body and scale back?

Thanks!

Is this PPPD? Please help me fix this.

I’ve had dizziness for months that started around the same time as a severe panic attack and coming off Lexapro. I’ve had normal blood work, an ECG, and an ear exam, but no one has been able to tell me what’s wrong.

My symptoms:
- Constant dizziness that fluctuates
- Turning my head makes it much worse and it feels like my vision “lags” behind.
- Sometimes it feels like the inside of my head is spinning rather than the room.
- Grocery stores, scrolling on my phone, and computer screens make it much worse (after about 20 minutes on my computer I feel like I’m going to throw up).
- Being a passenger in a car makes it worse, but driving actually makes me feel better.

I’m wondering if this sounds like PPPD?

More than anything, I want to know what actually helped you. Did vestibular physiotherapy help? Medication? Exercises? Did it eventually go away? I’m honestly desperate at this point because this has completely changed my life, and I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s been through something similar.

Blood Pressure and Feeling Faint

Hi guys! I’m unable to talk to my doctor until next week and I started Abilify (2mg) today for anxiety and depression. I took my first dose today and about 4 hours after I took the dose, I started sweating insanely, and was about to pass out and throw up at the same time. I didn’t but I still feel so weak and I keep sweating. I checked my BP: 87/74. Is this normal?! If it is, how long until it went away for you guys?

Dizziness after treatment

Just wondering if it’s normal to still have dizziness and nausea about 2 months after treatment is done? I got retested and I am negative but I still feel super dizzy and that dizziness is accompanied with nausea. Thanks!

Prolonged dizziness after switching SSRI’s?

I was on 40mg Lexapro for years. Earlier this year I had a huge anxiety/panic episode while alone in another city in uni (for like no reason at all) and genuinely spiraled. It was really bad for a couple weeks, but after that I actually started feeling more okay again.

My psychiatrist then recommended switching medications, so around March 2026 I tapered off Lexapro and switched to Prozac (20mg).

Ever since I changed, I’ve had this horrible constant dizziness, anxiety WAY worse than before, appetite loss + weight loss.

I had h.pylori during this time but I’ve now tested negative for that so I’m wondering if this is from lexapro withdrawal, prozac startup effects, or something else.

The dizziness is the worst part. I’ve never had dizziness with my anxiety before. It’s been about 2.5 months now and I genuinely can’t function normally. And I know it’s common with withdrawals but it’s been 2.5 months now!

Did anyone have something similar after switching SSRIs? If you did, do you think I should stay on Prozac or go back to Lexapro (my psychiatrist keeps telling me it’s my choice). I just want to feel physically normal again.

Hey everyone! I’m new to this thread and anything would help!

I just finished a 14-day treatment for H. pylori (quad therapy with tetracycline, metronidazole, Pepto, and a PPI). Before treatment, I honestly didn’t have many symptoms besides occasional nausea, which I thought was just anxiety, but I felt super dizzy, so my doctor ordered the test. The only abnormal result was my Vitamin D was low. Then I tested positive for H. pylori and went ahead with treatment.

I ended up going on a cruise during the treatment (not ideal timing 😭), and I was definitely pretty nauseous throughout. It was manageable, but I never really felt “normal.”

Now I’ve just finished the antibiotics today and:

I’m still pretty nauseous. I still feel dizzy / off and my appetite is not fully back. From what I’ve read, side effects can linger a bit after finishing, but I’m starting to get anxious about how long this will last.

A few questions:

- How long did it take you to feel normal again after finishing treatment?

- Is it normal to still feel this way right after stopping?

- Did your nausea come in waves (like worse when hungry or 2/3 hours after eating)?

- What did you eat during recovery that actually helped?

- Anything you did that sped up feeling normal again?

- Is it possible I infected my family and they have to get tested?

- Did you have dizziness before/ during the treatment that helped?

I stuck to the regimen pretty carefully, so I’m hoping it worked, but right now I just feel kind of off and it’s messing with my head a bit. I would really appreciate any help.
