Yep; I indeed got canister shrimp
Well... I though everyone was messing with me. Can I avoid them getting into the canister? Or should I just let them be?

Saw him fighting the ramhorn snails *over nothing* a couple of times; but lately it's every single day. Oh well; maybe he just enjoys violence
Until it became a tail whip fight for the last piece of the worm
It literally just cooled down after a boil. There's nothing growing on that surface yet. Why did they went so crazy for the new piece and completely ignore the one below that has been submerged for 5 months?
1.5 year old Lazarus has made a habit of coming to the surface and beg for food. The laziest snail
I finally was able to increase my Rasbora shoal. But in the video; there is clearly a large size difference; but the black spot is wider across all sizes. Did I get some young Harlequin rasboras or did I get espei?
Just wanted to make this post to share with others how I usually do water changes. Overkill? Perhaps; but fish survival has increased significantly (water in the jug is already conditioned and has all the additives such as fertilizers)
An earlier post mentioned that I got these for my wife; I wanted to show the community the degree of misalignment between the rings and ask if this is normal or should I order another pair. Thank you in advance!
Hi; I got these tile cutters as a surprise gift to my wife who is starting a class on mosaic making. I wanted to ask this community if it is expected for the ceramic tile nipper to not close all the way; and for the wheeled glass mosaic nipper wheels to be misaligned (see second picture). This is the first time in my life that I've seen these tools; so I want to make sure they will work for her. Thanks!
This guy has a 10 gallon all for himself. I feel that there is a lot of unused space at the bottom; so I'm thinking of getting 6-7 dwarf Corydoras. Could he end up killing them? I have a veiltail that I know for a fact that I can't even put medium size snails in his tank; there is so much anger in that tiny animal.
Any way to assess his personality beforehand?
Can't have tank mates if even a ramhorn snail is not welcome in his territory
I was today years old when I learned that tetras eat plants?!?! They are munching on an Hygrophila difformis; and now I wonder if they are going to eat the rest that I am planning to plant. Could algae wafers prevent them for going after my plants?
Hi! I recently switched to a canister filter and got rid of a small cascade filter that was on the left part of the tank. This is a 10 gallon planted aquarium; with heater; fully cicled (0 NH4/NO2/NO3) and I add 1 ml of flourish general fertilizer weekly.
Now I notice much less water disturbance at the surface of the left side of the tank. Given the current stock (3 harlequin rasboras; 5 neon tetra; 5 ember tetra; 1 apple snail; 2 nerite snails; \~10 cherry shrimp) and the amount of plants in the tank (see video); should I think of putting an airstone in the opposite corner of the sponge filter? I worry that at night plants and fish will start to compete for oxygen.
Any thoughts/feedback are greatly appreciated
