What variety is this one?

I have a lot of syngoniums and some weren’t labeled when I bought them. I was trying to ID some today and couldn’t figure this one off. Every leaf looks like these two.

NYC hotel for surgery recovery?

I'm having foot/ankle surgery this fall at HSS. I live in Brooklyn and our home is all stairs and I'm told I will be in a wheelchair/scooter for a while so want to stay in a nice hotel for the first week+ while I get over the anesthesia and get used to be one-legged with none of the temptation to do something stupid at home. Room service, laundry, etc. all with one floor living and elevator sounds great. There are a lot of luxury options but I'm burned out looking after planning a bunch of other stuff. I'm hoping for a high floor with nice views (maybe even a balcony or window that opens), great room service, great service overall if I want to get stuff picked up for restaurants/errands, maybe near Central Park or somewhere I can scoot around (like not Times Square). Near some trains a big plus, F/R lines best for partner and friends. Nice restaurant and bar appreciated. Tell me why you love your suggestion.

Edit to add: also open to Brooklyn hotels or views of the water. Downtown is fine, too. I'm not married to Central Park since I found out I have to keep my foot elevated 23 hours a day the first week :( Terrace in the room might be better.

Amazing restaurants?

We will be traveling there mid-September and always looking for top-notch food experiences (not trendy, but amazing food/presentation). The catch is that I don't eat fish/seafood/cheese. I am totally happy to eat a tasting menu that has a little of that and just skip those courses because I still enjoy the experience. I know those are challenging limitations, especially at Michelin places, but I hear places there often offer vegan menus. What restaurants are amazing there and definitely or might be able to feed me some? Or what places blew you away and I should just reach out to and ask? (I have started emailing a few places).

Amazing restaurants in Rome?

The posts I've found are older so hoping for recent info. We will be there in September. Please share your rec's for anything amazing and what you ate there. Bonus if they have non seafood or vegetarian/vegan options.

Linen duvet cover that has a pattern?

I've got one I love from Garnet Hill but I'm looking for something different. There are loads of solid or stripe options but who has some with fun patterns?

Dig box two years in

My girls still love this extra tall sandbox after two years of use. The one on the left is bc/Pyr and other one is a scotch collie and they both love this box for digging and wrestling. There is minimal digging elsewhere.

Our Hudson Valley, NY garden

We were lucky to be able to hire professionals (Your Earth Designs of Earth Designs Cooperative) to design and plant this a few years ago. The hardscaping was already there. A few things (like the rose of Sharon) were here and I kept them for various reasons (the hummingbirds with babies feast on bugs from the rose of Sharon).

We spent years on our own and eventually with help from big equipment removing NNIs from this 5 acre property and then put up an 8’ deer fence around about 1+ acres around the house.

I love it so much. It is filled with pollinators and birds. We also have things like Paw Paws, hazelnuts, elderberry, and lots of stream plants along the stream.

Editing to paraphrase something I said in a comment: one of the cool parts of this garden and our work removing NNIs is that our neighbors are taking note of this type of planting. Everyone who visits the property comments on how nice the gardens are and it's a great time to chat about NNIs and the benefits of natives (like lack of watering and fertilizing-we watered the year they were planted and that's it). Neighbors who used to not think much about what's growing on their property are starting to remove NNIs and seeing some of the benefits of all of it (like fewer ticks, more cool birds.)

Boat or train trip with elderly parent?

I see some very high end, luxury looking train and boat trips online, but I'm hoping to hear from people with personal experiences, good or bad.

I'd love to take my almost 80 yo mother on a boat or train trip (prefer train as she talks about this a lot and we've done some boat trips in the past) that is exceptional but not too hard on someone who can't do real hikes or too much time on her feet (in decent shape for her age but has severe arthritis and waiting to see how her double knee replacement helps). Open to 1-2 weeks, anywhere in the world. She does love museums/gardens but also beautiful natural landscapes. Nice accommodations, food, and superior service all important.

With our family we've done a private Galapagos boat charter (she couldn't do a lot of the excursions now, partially because of getting on/off the air boats) and I went on a group garden trip on the Rhine River on a Viking boat with her. She's done some other European boat trips with friends. So maybe something different? Scandinavia, China, India, Ireland, South America...

Looking for specific style for dog leash-not sure if this sub can help

Sorry if this is not the right spot for this-this sub was just suggested to me and it seems worth checking.

I some dog leashes I love far above all others but the company closed and my repeated attempts to contact them have failed. I was wondering if I post photos if y'all can tell me how hard they would be to make or help me find someone to custom make them as I want more. Thanks!
