Looking to build a hot tub deck/platform. Our current deck is 16” off the ground, and we’d ideally like to build step down deck for the hot tub. We also considered taking the top boards off our deck and making it so it can support a hot tub.
Any recommendations or advice on how to make it structurally sound? The hot tub is 84” x 84”.

Long post, bear with me! I have been a nixit user for over a year now and feel like I still haven’t gotten the hang of it. I have a high cervix and sometimes when I insert it, it ejects itself out, sometimes I feel like I get a great fit, then I go to the washroom and find blood is still sneaking out somewhere. Sometimes if I cough, sneeze, or crouch down it dislodges itself and then I have to squeeze my legs and wobble to the bathroom like a penguin to try to minimize ruining my pants.
Additionally, has anyone else experienced irritation when inserting your disc? After I insert mine , my outer vulva area feels irritated almost like friction irritation.
I am on day 1 of my cycle now.
My past 2 periods I have had external yeast infections after my cycle has ended and I feel like it has been caused by the friction, the fact I was using the nixit menstrual cleaner to clean the cup and my labia areas, and from my period/discharge being acidic for the area..
Are discs supposed to be this much work? I feel like I am constantly troubleshooting and trying to figure out what’s causing irritation, if my disc is the wrong one for me, etc.. I did try the diva disc and I feel like I almost lost it in there and I also leaked right past it.
Does anyone else here use the nixit cup cleaner and vaginal wash? I have been using but am experiencing dryness and cracking on my labia minors crease? Unsure if it’s related or not or if the products just drying me out.
I have been using the nixit disc for over a year now, and each cycle I can’t seem to get a good fit. I’ll insert it and it’ll leak (my flow is medium and I empty every 4ish hours). If I go pee it’ll auto dump on its own, if I laugh or sit the wrong way it’ll dump on its own.
Sometimes after I insert it I can feel it sliding out, I can’t seem to fully tuck it behind my pubic bone.
I also don’t know if there’s a specific position I’m supposed to be in to insert it?
Is there other options equivalent to the nixit that may work for me? Is it too big? I am in Canada, is there other options?
I have to wear it the whole duration of my period up until the 7th/8th day because my own period fluid irritates my vulva and I end up getting a yeast infection.
My spouse and I are having our housewarming party at the end of August.
Looking for easy/simple meal ideas.
There will be about 20-30 adults, 10 kids between the ages 2-10.
Hot tub owners. We are looking at getting a used hot tub how much does it typically add onto your hydro bills? How much is it monthly for chemicals?
Is it worth it? My spouse works in trades and is often sore at the end of the day.
Should we try out an inflatable or do those not work in our winters?

We have about a 27’ round above ground pool (unsure the exact size). Looking for ideas on how to heat the pool. We dint have natural gas so that’s not an we’re considering a solar heating system - either bought or DIY. Trying to keep things cost efficient. We’re located in the western provinces (prairies) of Canada.
Hi! My 4 year old reacts negatively to mosquito/bug bites. The area will swell up, he will scratch the bite, and then it ends up infected and turning into cellulitis.
How can we avoid this? Any bug bite creams we can use on him that are natural/non toxic?
He will not let us put bandaids on him.

For the past few months, on the last couple days of my period for a week or so after my period finished I am met with extreme itching around my vaginal opening, my clitoris, and labia minora. My vulva is an angry red colour, and swollen. I don’t have any discharge that I can notice, but I just finished my period and today’s my first day without my period disc in. I tested with PH strips and my PH is showing up between 5 and 6.
It feels better if I wash myself with water and pat myself dry, then 30 minutes later the feeling returns and it feels like my lady parts are throbbing (weird feeling??)
Last month I tried treating with 1 day oral canestan, and the cream. The pill worked I’d say at the 4 day mark and the cream burnt so bad and gave me small tiny blisters everywhere I applied it.
How do I know if this is BV or a yeast infection? What has cured your issue if you’ve had a similar experience?

*before anyone suggests lichen sclerosis, I have been to a doctor that specializes in lichen sclerosis as this was an issue last year as well when I finished breastfeeding my youngest. The doctor said it is not lichen sclerosis and that she doesn’t want to do a punch biopsy as it’ll cause trauma if I show no clear signs of lichen sclerosis

Has anyone had any side affects while using mometasone? I have been experiencing a hoarse voice, and increased mucus from my throat. Unsure if it’s just related to my post nasal drip or not.
Doctor prescribed me Bilastine for my chronic sinus issues. After reading online about it I’m scared to take it now? I think he suspected I have allergic rhinitis but I’m waiting on an allergist appointment(September) still to narrow down what could be triggering or if I even have allergies.
Some people online say it makes them depressed/have anxiety, low libido, etc.
Thoughts/experiences welcome & maybe some gentle words to not be as anxious about this. I have a tendency to google to the point of destruction - thanks to severe health anxiety
Anyone here deal with chronic sinusitis or suspected chronic sinusitis? I’ve had nasal discharge and post nasal drip with a strange taste/odor to it, as well as exhaustion sometimes and constant throat clearing. I’ve had this for close to 9 months now.
Is there any where to get this fixed or how do I go about curing this issue?
Sick of feeling crummy and insecure about this issue.
I suspect I have chronic sinusitis. Since last July/August I’ve almost consistently had green/light green mucus discharge from my nose, a nasal drip that has thick mucus in it, sometimes green toned. My nasal area seems to have a smell and taste and my nasal drip does as well (idk if other people can detect it though). I’ve been low energy, my eyes feel heavy sometimes. Constant throat clearing or spitting out mucus.
Unsure if sinusitis is what I’m dealing with or if it’s something else. Looking for advice on how to get rid of this. I’m sick of feeling insecure about this issue
