Hi everyone!

I'm an independent board game designer from Türkiye, but some time ago, I decided to dive into a completely new challenge: digital game development. I didn't know anything about coding, but after endless research, experimenting, and failing multiple times, I finally finished my first digital passion project: 'Desire FOR Power: Council Intrigues'.

It doesn't have multi-million dollar graphics or massive AAA mechanics, and it definitely carries that raw, indie amateur spirit. But if you like medieval theme, making choices, and plotting your way to the high positions through text-based mechanics, I think you'll find it quite engaging!

Since the **Itch.io Summer Sale 2026** just kicked off, I wanted to release a **100% DRM-Free standalone edition** right here for the itch community for $4.50 (matching its Steam price).

About Me & My Vision

Hi! My name is Umutcan Erkmen. I am an independent board game designer based in Türkiye, operating under the studio name Desire FOR Entertainment. My ultimate mission is to foster, spread, and deeply root the modern tabletop and card game culture right here in my home country, while sharing my original designs with board gamers all around the globe.

As an indie creator in Türkiye, I face a major technical hurdle: popular global crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter or BackerKit are unfortunately not directly accessible for creators in my region. Instead of letting this stop me, I decided to bypass these barriers entirely and bring my passion directly to the community. I chose Itch.io as my primary hub to publish high-quality, meticulously designed Print & Play (PnP) versions of my games under a "Pay What You Want" model.

Every single project I upload here is crafted with immense passion, and a deep commitment to printer-friendly (Low-Ink) accessibility.

Another Game Of Mine - Desire FOR Mods

Hey everyone! I released my new Print and Play card game, Desire FOR Mods, under a Pay What You Want model a couple hours ago. It's a versatile 56-card deck featuring 7 unique game modes (including bluffing, sequences, and domino variants...).

I opened my analytics dashboard just a few minutes after launching, and seeing 6 downloads and an immediate $2.00 donation(same great guy who payed 2 dollars each of my games, thank you...) completely great! As a solo independent designer, this fast validation means the world to me.

[PnP] Just published my two independent card games on Itch.io! "Desire FOR Mining" & "Desire FOR Chances" (Pay What You Want)

Hey everyone!

I'm an independent board game designer from Türkiye, and I've just officially launched my first two Print & Play card game projects on Itch.io under a "Pay What You Want" model!

  1. ⛏️ Desire FOR Mining: A high-stakes strategic set-collection and push-your-luck game set in a grimdark underground underworld. Trade at the merchant, steal card sets, and sabotage your rivals' tunnels.

  2. 🧪 Desire FOR Chances: A tense Russian roulette-themed game of intuition and spellcasting. Throw empty bottles at yourself, deadly potions at your opponents, and manipulate the phase with diverse spell cards!

Both projects are mathematically balanced and meticulously designed to be highly printer-friendly with different ink profiles (Full Color, Low-Ink, and Lower-Ink) and perfect front-back alignment.

I would absolutely love it if you checked them out, printed them for your game nights, or left a review!
