I Have Land, Farming Experience & Labour — Looking for Someone With an Idea

I’ve been thinking about starting something in agriculture/agri-business on a small scale, and I’d love to connect with people who are interested in building something together.

I’ve seen quite a few posts from people, especially those working in corporate jobs, who want to get into agriculture but don’t know where to start or don’t have the right resources.

I’m not only looking to work with corporate professionals. If you’re interested in agriculture and have an idea, skills, experience, or even just the motivation to build something, I’m open to connecting.

A little about me:

I come from a farmer family

I have access to farming land

I have hands-on experience with farming

Labour is available at relatively low cost

I’m willing to start small and learn along the way

What I’m missing right now is a good idea and the right people to build it with.

Maybe you have an idea but no land.

Maybe you have business/marketing/tech skills but no access to farming.

Maybe you’re working a corporate job and have always wanted to try something in agriculture.

Or maybe you simply have an interesting idea that you think could work.

Share your idea or tell me how you could contribute. Even if you’re not sure whether it would work, I’d still love to hear it.

I’m not looking for people who just want to discuss ideas endlessly. I’d like to find a few serious people who are willing to start small, test something, learn, and build together.

If this sounds interesting, comment below or DM me. Let’s connect and see what we can build.

Looking to Connect with Wholesalers, Retailers, E-commerce Sellers & Traders in Home Décor + Lighting

Hey everyone,

I’m currently working with a few home décor and lighting manufacturers and looking to connect with businesses that are already selling, sourcing, or distributing products in this space.

I’m particularly interested in connecting with:

Wholesalers & distributors

Home décor and lighting retailers

E-commerce sellers

Importers & exporters

Traders and sourcing companies

Interior designers / furniture businesses

Anyone already selling home décor or lighting products

One thing that may be useful for smaller businesses is that MOQ can be quite low, so there’s an opportunity to test products without committing to a large bulk order. Depending on the product and quantity, I can also offer competitive factory-level pricing.

At this stage, I’m less interested in simply posting products online and hoping someone finds them. I’m trying to understand how people in this industry actually find genuine B2B buyers and build long-term supplier relationships.

For those already working in home décor, lighting, furniture, or related B2B markets:

Where do you usually find serious buyers?

Which platforms or marketplaces have worked well for you?

What types of companies are actively sourcing these products?

How do wholesalers and retailers usually discover new manufacturers/suppliers?

Are trade shows, B2B marketplaces, LinkedIn, cold outreach, or sourcing agents actually effective?

What’s the best way for a new supplier to approach buyers without coming across as spam?

I’d really appreciate any practical advice or experiences—especially from people who buy, import, distribute, or sell home décor and lighting products.

If you’re currently sourcing in this category, feel free to comment or DM me as well. Happy to share more details about the products and pricing.

Which types of companies are actively sourcing these products

How wholesalers/retailers usually discover new manufacturers or suppliers

Good platforms or marketplaces for B2B home décor & lighting

Potential partnerships or distribution opportunities

And if anyone is interested in starting something together, I’m completely open to discussing it. With low MOQs, low pricing, and access to manufacturers, I think there could be some interesting opportunities to test different products without putting in a massive amount of capital upfront.

If you’re a buyer, seller, trader or simply someone experienced in this industry, feel free to comment or DM me. Happy to discuss and see if there’s a way we can work together.

Not trying to hard-sell anything here ,mainly looking to meet the right people and explore opportunities.

Thinking of starting Stevia + Lemongrass cultivation on agricultural land — looking for guidance/partners

Hey everyone,

I’m exploring the idea of starting Stevia and Lemongrass cultivation on agricultural land that I have access to. I’m still in the research stage, so I’d really appreciate some practical advice from people who are already doing this or have experience with medicinal/aromatic crops.

I’m particularly interested in understanding:

Is Stevia cultivation actually profitable at a small/medium scale in India?

What kind of initial investment, yield and ROI can realistically be expected?

What are the major challenges climate, irrigation, pests, harvesting, labour, etc.?

Who are the actual buyers? Is it better to build a B2B model (herbal companies, tea manufacturers, nutraceutical companies, extract manufacturers, etc.) or explore B2C products?

For Lemongrass, is it better to sell the raw crop or go one step further and look into essential oil/distillation?

Most importantly, how do you secure buyers before investing heavily in cultivation?

I’m also looking at this from a business/partnership perspective, rather than simply growing a crop and selling it in the mandi.

For example, one person could handle cultivation/land, while another could bring expertise in farming, processing, market research, sales, or B2B buyer connections. Eventually, it could potentially become a small farm-to-market business rather than just commodity farming.

So if anyone is already growing Stevia/Lemongrass, working with buyers, running a processing unit, or seriously considering getting into this, I’d love to connect.

I’m open to partnerships if there’s a good fit and someone wants to explore this seriously together. Feel free to DM me, especially if you have practical experience rather than just theoretical knowledge.

Also, if you’ve tried Stevia or Lemongrass cultivation and decided against it, I’d be equally interested in hearing why.

What other things do you think I should research or validate before putting money into this?

Looking for honest feedback positive or negative.

Do you know how your everyday flour actually reaches your kitchen?

Do you know how your everyday flour actually reaches your kitchen?

I come from a rural farming community, and we have our own traditional flour mill.

Here, we can grind: Wheat into fresh flour, Dried chillies into chilli powder, Coriander seeds into coriander powder, Chickpeas into fresh gram flour (besan).

Most of us buy these products without ever knowing how they're processed or where they come from.

I believe food should be transparent—you should know what you're eating, where it came from, and how it was made.

I'm thinking about building a brand around this idea: fresh, honest, and traceable products with no unnecessary processing.

If you could buy freshly milled flour and spices directly from the source, would you choose them over regular packaged products?

I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts in the comments. Your feedback will help shape this journey.

Looking for people who want to build a real consumer brand from agriculture, not another app

I've been thinking about this for a long time, and I finally decided to post here.

I come from a farmer family. I've worked in the fields myself, I have access to farmland, good relationships with local farmers, and I'm ready to invest my own money into building something meaningful.

The idea isn't just to start a business. I want to build a brand that people genuinely trust.

I want to make products that go directly from the farm to the consumer after processing, with complete transparency. I want customers to know exactly where their food came from, how it was grown, how it was processed, and why they can trust it.

A couple of ideas I already have are:

Cold-pressed mustard oil

Jaggery (gur)

The reason I mention jaggery is because most people assume it's automatically healthy, but after seeing production myself, I realized that's often not the case. In many places the process is unhygienic, and some producers even add sugar or other things to make it sweeter or improve appearance. I believe it can be done much better.

But I'm not attached to these ideas. If there's a better opportunity in agriculture, I'm open to exploring it.

What I'm really looking for is people who want to build physical products, not just software or another SaaS startup.

If you've ever wanted to create something tangible that people use every day, I'd love to connect.

I'm especially interested in hearing from people who can bring something to the table, whether that's:

Experience in food processing or manufacturing

Branding and marketing

Supply chain or operations

Packaging

Sales

Agriculture knowledge

Or even just a strong work ethic and long-term commitment

If you DM me, tell me:

What you're currently doing

What kind of business you'd like to build

What resources or skills you have

How you think you could contribute

I'm not looking for people chasing quick money. Building a consumer brand takes years, and there will be challenges. But I'd rather spend those years creating something real than wondering "what if."

If you're someone who wants to leave the corporate grind and build a business with genuine impact, let's talk.

Even if we don't end up working together, I'd love to exchange ideas with people who think the same way. You never know where one conversation can lead.

Would you buy 100% transparent, farm-to-home mustard oil? Looking for honest feedback before I launch.

I'm here to validate a business idea before investing serious time and money into it, so I'd really appreciate your honest feedback.

My family has been growing mustard for years. Every season, we produce mustard oil mainly for our own family and relatives instead of buying from the market.

Over the years, I've noticed a huge difference between our oil and most store-bought mustard oil.

Our oil has a strong natural aroma.

It's thick and rich.

It has a deep yellow color.

And honestly, once people try it, they usually don't want to go back to regular market oil.

Many relatives specifically wait for our oil every year because they trust its quality.

This made me think

What if I build a brand based on complete transparency?

The idea is simple

Direct from Farmer → Consumer

I want to document and show every single step:

Growing the mustard

Harvesting

Buying mustard (when required)

Oil extraction process

Filtering (if any)

Packaging

Dispatch

Basically, nothing hidden.

The goal isn't just to sell mustard oil it's to let customers see exactly where their food comes from.

Another idea I'm considering is a subscription model.

For example

A family tells us they use around 3–5 liters per month.

We deliver that quantity automatically every month.

Freshly extracted oil instead of customers repeatedly ordering.

I'm also curious about customer behavior.

How much mustard oil does your household consume in a month?

Would you prefer a monthly subscription if quality and freshness were consistent?

I'd love your thoughts on these questions:

  1. Would you buy mustard oil from a small farmer-owned brand instead of a supermarket brand

  2. Does complete transparency actually matter to you?

  3. Would you trust videos showing the entire process?

  4. Would a monthly subscription be something you'd consider?

  5. What's the biggest reason that would stop you from buying?

Please be brutally honest. Positive or negative feedback is equally valuable at this stage.

And if you think this idea has potential, an upvote would really help more people see the post and share their opinions.

Thank you so much 🙏

Need Advice on Starting an Export-Import Business Between India and Uzbekistan

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some guidance from people who have experience in international trade.

A close friend of mine is currently studying in Uzbekistan, and we're planning to start a small export-import business between India and Uzbekistan. Since he is already there, we believe it could help us understand the local market and build connections.

We're still in the planning stage, so I'd really appreciate advice on a few things:

What documents and registrations are required in both India and Uzbekistan?

Do we need to register a company in one or both countries?

What products have good demand for export/import between these two countries?

How do we find reliable buyers and suppliers?

What are the common mistakes beginners should avoid?

What should we know about customs, logistics, taxes, and payments?

We're planning to start on a small scale and grow gradually, so any practical tips, personal experiences, or useful resources would be greatly appreciated.

How can I find out who buys these handmade products and what their actual market value is?

Hi everyone,

I live in an area where many local artisans make handmade products and decorative items. Most of them are highly skilled, but they usually don't know where their products are ultimately sold or how much they are sold for.

Typically, middlemen come to the artisans, place bulk orders, and pay them a fixed amount. The artisans are happy to get work, but I suspect the products may be sold later at much higher prices in larger cities or even internationally.

I'm trying to understand:

How can I identify the actual buyers or markets for these products?

Where are such handmade products usually sold (retail stores, export markets, online marketplaces, etc.)?

How can I estimate the real market value of these items?

Are there any platforms where artisans can sell directly without relying heavily on middlemen?

Has anyone helped local craftspeople connect directly with customers?

I'd appreciate any advice on researching supply chains, finding buyers, or understanding how pricing works in the handicraft industry.

Thanks!

Looking to Help Small Businesses Source Products at Better Prices from Delhi's Largest Wholesale Market

Hi everyone,

I live near Sadar Bazar, Delhi, one of the largest wholesale markets in India, with access to thousands of suppliers across multiple product categories.

I'm exploring the idea of starting a product sourcing service for small businesses, online sellers, retailers, and startups.

Here's how it would work:

You tell me what product you currently buy or want to source.

You share details such as:

Where you currently buy it from (if possible)

The price you're paying

Quantity requirements

Quality specifications

I'll use my local network and market access to find the same or similar product at a more competitive price from wholesalers and manufacturers.

My goal is simple: help businesses reduce their sourcing costs and improve margins without spending weeks searching for suppliers.

I can assist with:

Retail store inventory

Amazon/Flipkart sellers

E-commerce brands

Promotional products

Packaging materials

Household goods

Stationery

Toys

Gift items

General merchandise

And many other categories

At this stage, I'm mainly looking to understand the sourcing challenges businesses face and see whether I can genuinely provide value.

If you're a business owner, reseller, or online seller interested in reducing product costs, feel free to comment or send me a DM with the product details. I'll let you know if I can find a better sourcing option.

Looking forward to connecting and helping businesses source smarter!

Thanks.

Farmer near Delhi NCR looking for contract farming ideas / high demand crops

Hey everyone,

I come from a farmer family and we have some land near Delhi NCR. I want to start something different from traditional farming and I’m interested in contract farming or growing crops based on market demand.

I want to know:

Which crops/products are in high demand?

What can be grown on small land with good profit?

How can I find buyers before farming?

Do restaurants, grocery stores, or companies buy directly from farmers?

Also, if anyone is interested in getting something grown on demand or wants direct farming supply near Delhi NCR, feel free to comment or message me.

Would really appreciate suggestions and advice from experienced people. Thanks!
