Sarcopenia

I just recently got my diagnosis and while my symptoms are bad but not terrible yet I am trying to understand what will happen over the course of the next couple of years. One thing I don't really get is the sarcopenia (muscle loss) aspect.

Have any of you dealt with that specifically? For some reason it's more worrying to me than many of the other mid-stage symptoms. I live an averagely active life, I guess, but looking at the recommendations for PSC patients - 5x cardio, 2x resistance training every week - I wouldn't even know when to do that. Is such a strict and intense exercise regime really necessary to even make a dent into the muscle loss I'll apparently be facing? What even is causing the sarcopenia with PSC?

Apologies if this is a dumb question, I'm very overwhelmed by this turn of events in my life and am trying to understand what I need to adjust asap and what is less burning.

Help me fill a blank spot in my man cave

This is "my room", a mix of office, hobby room and guest room. I (m40) like functional and, if space allows, minimalist rooms, and everything I need in terms of storage or electronics is already in that room.

So I don't really know what to do with that space above the hobby desk. For reference, the room height is 240 cm and that's a Bose Wave sound system. I have power outlets up there. It's way too dark in that corner so plants are no option (the computer desk is in front of the only window). I was thinking of just putting some books there but they're not tall enough to really fill the spot and I don't feel like dusting very often.

I like to lie on the bed and listen to music, and it would be nice to have something visually engaging in my view when doing so. Any ideas? I was thinking of something to do with light (since the spot is so dark) but could only think of those hexagons with LEDs behind them that are all the rage with computer kids on Youtube. They're lame though, and the wall is curved (concave).

(Not visible on the photos: a fan behind the narrow cabinet.)

Bluetooth DAC/amp for Fiio FA19

I have a Qudelix 5K that I use with my FA19 (10 BA drivers per side). I feel like when I listen to relatively loud music, the dynamics are off. Everything sounds more flat and transients lose their impact.

I asked Gemini and it gave me this big speech about how basically I need a more powerful device and how it's totally normal that the Q5K cannot properly power all the drivers at high volume. I lack the technical understanding to validate this.

So in a nutshell, will a different DAC/amp make a difference? Will it come at the cost of a higher noise floor?

Is the loss of dynamics perhaps a psychoacoustic phenomenon that can't be removed by buying bigger tools?

I like the idea of PEQ, though I haven't used it on my IEMs (I use it for my full size headphones all the time though). So I was looking at the Fiio BRT17 and Q15 specifically. Would an upgrade make sense for me? Again, I'm specifically asking about the loud music scenario, everything sounds great at more reasonable volume.

Some specific questions about using the APM2 with Windows

So I'm having a hard time understanding what the APM2 would do for me. I am fully in the Apple ecosystem except for my gaming PC. My questions concern that PC.

I am looking for ANC headphones that filter out low-level noises such as computer fans. But at the same time I want to be able to have a conversation or at least notice when someone talks to me.

* The APM2 seem to do that with Adaptive Audio. But the website also says that this only works when they're connected to an Apple device with certain OSes. Does that feature really depend on the OS of the connected device?

* I am planning to use the headphones wired (USB-C) to get good latency for gaming. Again the website is confusing me, it says that this works only for "compatible content, services, and apps" [translated from German]. Will I be able to get low-latency, high-quality audio under Windows?

"Flow state" shooter to listen to music with

I'm going through a rough time and need some escapism. I'm old, so I remember Doom and those games fondly. I need something similar in style, I just want to blast loud music and kill stuff basically nonstop. I don't want fancy cutscenes or a thousand text boxes that tell me a story I don't want to hear because that just interrupts the flow.

Are there any nice shooters where I don't have to think much that basically have no interruptions but still look like they were made at least in 2015? Can be arena shooters or not, I don't care as long as it's straightforward and keeps my attention so I can forget about real life for a while.

Gaming headphones an upgrade over LCD-X?

I have been using my LCD-X with a nice DAC and EQ for a while and I really love them, they sound great and the weight doesn't bother me (as I only do short sessions).

I recently got back into PC gaming and am wondering if a "proper" gaming headset would provide any benefits. I'm a casual gamer and actually I listen to music when gaming (Diablo 4 goes together well with some Post Rock!), so probably my setup makes sense for my use case. But I'm still wondering if I'm missing out on something.
