Any ideas on venues for a “baby shower” aka “baby sprinkle”?

Hello all,

Looking for an elegant venue for my baby sprinkle. It will be approx 10 people.

Private rooms are okay too.

I would really love something thats elevated and classy but not stuffy.

I’m open to all ideas.

This would be prior to October. I’m thinking maybe August or September. I’m thinking indoors might be best especially if it’s too hot.

Thank you!

Visitations

Hello all!
I’m due in October prime flu, covid, RSV, URI season.
Our family is all out of state…which is annoying bc they have to take a plane and then stay with us.
When did you allow family to visit? How many people did you allow during visitations? What rules if any did you apply?
TIA!

Baby Showers…..

I’ll try my best to keep it brief and please be kind.

I’m 41 y/o having our first baby in the fall.

Anywho i’m torn on whether to have a baby shower or not.

  1. Am I too old for a baby shower? Will I be like the freak show older lady who’s pregnant….Let’s go check it out type a deal.

  2. Ive seen some of these baby showers on social media and they are just so cheesy and no offense trashy.

  3. We also live far from family. We only have a couple of friends that are around us, and most everybody would have to travel to come to this event.

  4. I’m also dreading getting gifts that I would never buy on my own. I also would feel guilty sharing my registry because a lot of these items are very expensive.

  5. Lastly, if I don’t have one, will I feel guilty for not celebrating my baby?

Thank you!
