I went down the wormhole and watched all of The Punisher stuff after Spider-Man Brand New Day

And wow, I think The Punisher might be my new favorite Marvel character. This guy has seen it all hasn’t he lol. Also a lot of movies and shows I watch and video games I play seem to be based off his story. Person of Interest seems to be the biggest one so far.

For those New Yorkers who watched Spider-Man: Brand New Day [Spoilers]

Doesn't it bother you that the film doesn't seem like real New York City? They did their best to try and make it seem like New York, but it was filmed in Glascow and when you combine that with the CGI scenes, it doesn't feel like a true NY movie. >!Funny because the credits are a homage to NY with stock footage scenes. And you see the guys from Spectrum news in multiple scenes, but that's about it.!<>!The scene on the subway, for example, doesn't even look like a real MTA train, and also, the subway map behind Peter in one scene was clearly AI generated. Sigh! Great movie but this ruined it for me. !<

Weekend project was putting together a Lego version of the R42! I purchased the directions from MTADispatcher98 on Redbrickable and parts from Pick a Brick! What a fun build for both Lego and train fan 😃

ASUS NUC 14 Pro eGPU Question

Hi! I have an Asus NUC Pro 14. Specs are Intel Core Ultra 7 155H, and 24GB RAM, and a 512 GB SSD with a 1 TB Samsung SSD for extra storage. I am trying to hook up a Razer Core v1 w/ RTX 5060 TI to it over Thunderbolt to the mini PC with this 10 foot cable. Windows sees the eGPU just fine, but once a game gets running, it will crash. Sometimes on boot, the NUC will boot, but then when it gets to Windows with HDMI plugged into the eGPU, there's just a gray screen. I'm thinking that the Thunderbolt cable is the problem since I got a 10-foot-long one. Maybe I should get an Apple Thunderbolt 4 cable instead? I tried everything over the last few hours, and this problem still happens. I consider myself pretty tech-savvy, but I'm running out of ideas and getting ready to just give up and buy a gaming laptop lol.

USA - NYC 6688 at Branford

Wearing a sharp livery of “platinum mist” with blue stripes, New York MTA R17 subway car 6688 (St. Louis Car Co., 1955) leaves the Farm River Road depot during the November 2024 guest operator event at the Branford Electric Railway Association’s Shore Line Trolley Museum in Connecticut.

New York City had four hundred R17s, which worked on the “A Division” (ex IRT lines with narrow tunnels) until 1988, so several visitors to the museum remembered riding R17s, and 6688 was the most popular car that day.

Used my Pixel 9 Pro XL in place of a laptop for work today. Never imagined I’d do that with a pixel phone!
