Tuffy is ok. Tuffy is just going to be a bit of a pill popper now to help his collapsing trachea. Temaril-P.

He also got Meloxicam Oral Suspension for his bad kneea. Here is the weird part.

The script says

Temaril-P: Start today. Give 1 tablet by mouth every 12 hours for 4 days, then give 1/2 tablet by mouth every 24 hours for 4 days, then 1/2 tablet by mouth every 24 hours as needed. DO NOT GIVE MELOXICAM WITH THIS MEDICATION.

Meloxicam Oral Suspension: Start 2 days after finishing Temaril-P (washout period). Give 0.4ml by mouth every 24 hours as needed for pain. Give 1 hour before hiking or other strenuous activity. If he is doing well on this medication, we recommend running screening bloodwork for long-term use. 2.)

We would recommend rechecking him in 2 months. At this time we can do radiographs and/or screening bloodwork (senior se If he is not improving with these medications we would want a sooner recheck. If you have any questions or concerns please call.

So it seems like eventually he'll have to take one or the other. We go back in October for scans and maybe blood work. Tuffy is currently laying next to Vern so now I know the medicine is working.

We leave in about 2 and half hours. I've been laying awake in bed the past 3 hours. What a way to start off the week.

Ps Tuffy goes to the vet tomorrow morning to discuss options about his collapsing trachea. Any advice is appreciated.

I forgot how smooth he feels after a haircut

We call it the lions cut. I just love his little fluffy scruffy Tuffy face and his chinny chin chin. Everything is short besides his neck chest head and the tip of his tail. It was only $65 plus 2 bucks for the bandana. I feel like I paid 75 last time.🤷 I also got a haircut but y'all didn't come here to see my ugh mug hahahaha
