Hello! I'm a student, from Karachi, Pakistan. I want to learn digital illustration and 2D/3D animation as a hobby, maybe start freelancing later as well if I'm good at it. I've tried digital art before. I used to draw on an ancient computer... with a mouse 💀 (Idk how I did so). I've tried 3D modelling and animation too on the same ancient computer and after years I'm now joining a 3D animation training course. For 2D animation and art, I've decided to buy a basic drawing tablet, screenless one since my budget doesn't allow screened. I have a laptop but it's quite useless like it's got 8GB RAM and lags when I'm doing aNyThiNg, even browsing, so I'll be connecting the tablet to my phone instead, which is an android. My budget is around PKR 20,000-40,000 max. Here are the options I have in mind:

• XP-Pen Deco LW (IT1060B)
• Huion Inspiroy 2 L (H1061P)
• XP-Pen Deco L (IT1060)
• XP-Pen Deco MW (IT850B)
• Wacom Intuos Medium (CTL-6100)
• XP-Pen Deco 01 V3

The first three interest me the most, considering their features such as android support, bluetooth connectivity, large workspace etc.

For context, let's just say my family is obsessed with NED. Like not even kidding half of us are associated with it. So as obliged, I took the entry test and scored good but not good enough. I wanted BSCS just because they have a specialisation in gaming and animation but I'm defo not getting that with this aggregate. Others fields such as EE EL ME, however, would probably be available.
I've applied to other universities as well for CS. Got into IBA but my parents are defo not paying 5 lakh per semester so I applied for financial assistance, decisions will be out on 17th August. Screwed up FAST entry test and my aggregate can only get me electrical or computer engg and I'll have to get my preferences changed for that when the results are out, anyway can't afford FAST either so I'm dropping that one. Habib and GIKI results to be announced. Habib's test went fire but I missed the interview due to conveyance issue and they won't reschedule it so ig I should drop that one too.

I'm pressured in all four directions to opt anything in NED and drop every other university's plans, because as I said, generational craze. My parents told me to just take admission in NED and then later only if IBA provides me a good percentage of financial aid (of which there are very less to no chances), we'll cancel my admission of NED and get me into IBA. But this case leaves out all other universities and is risky because if IBA does not give FA, which is very likely due to our financial status, I can't get CS. If not other universities, I was considering KU too because I think I can get BSCS there and UBIT is not that bad but if I secure a seat in NED rn that closes the possibility for KU as well.

So now we're left with the main question: NED or not?
Tbh I do like mechanical and electrical engg but should I really dump away all my dreams of CS for this? Is it worth it?

So my test is tmrw and the problem is... IDK A SINGLE SHIT ABOUT THIS THING-
I basically have no preparation at all. I'm taking the engg n computing test at VU Karachi. I've been super busy with other entry tests (had NED's today) so I just didn't have time for this one. I've seen the syllabus n sample paper from official website so I have a little idea of the thing. I think I'm fine with maths n english cuz my english is already pretty good and I prepared maths from fsc syllabus extensively for NED, but physics... yeah I lowkey suck at it.
So pls help me how tf do I exactly prepare for the test in one night? Any recommendations/suggestions/resources/prayers would be v useful 😭
Also, if anyone took the test in khi, how's the environment and all like the test is computer-based and they have a built-in calculator in the system right?

In round 1 test there were a few questions that did not even have the right answer amongst the options, I did not know what to do so I left em on purpose. Sir Hashim said for there'd be a "report a problem" button on the test page which we're supposed to press for such cases but I did not see any option like that? So I want to know what should we do if this happens again in round 2..? My test's tmrw

I have my entry test next week, dunno the date cuz didn't get the admit card yet. I got a bad score in round 1 (65💔) and i NEED to score much much better this time, preferably above 90 cuz i'm aiming for computer science. I didn't prepare at all last round cuz i didn't have the time after boards. What should my strategy be for this attempt? If i do only HZ's yt marathons will i make it? And if somebody has past papers' pdfs or some other resources please share tysm

I have my FAST Karachi entry test tomorrow and I just have absolutely no preparation. I was too busy with other universities' entry tests and college practicals (and getting sick and ending up in the hospital as well). Save me pls ToT
I've reviewed the test pattern and info. I'm aiming for BS CS etc and my FSC percentage was 80.36% whereas SSC was 84.09% so I think I'll be needing a test score of minimum 75+ outta 120
Can anyone guide me on how to... survive???
