M3A3 Bradley doesn't spawn in Bad Company 2 Portal Rush on Valparaiso

I hadn't played Battlefield 2042 in almost two years, and recently I felt like playing some classic Bad Company 2 Rush matches through Portal.

To my surprise, on Valparaiso the attacking team's base is supposed to have an M3A3 Bradley available from the start of the match, but it simply never appears. I even used the exact same settings as the official DICE Portal experience, and it still doesn't spawn. It doesn't even show up as an option if I switch vehicle spawning to the modern system.

I searched YouTube and found videos from 2025 of people playing on this map, and the Bradley was also missing there. However, in videos from earlier years, the vehicle was present at the attackers' base from the beginning of the match.

Does anyone know what happened? Is there any setting that enables this vehicle, or has it been removed from the Portal version of the map?

Question about Pile-In

We have a doubt regarding how the Pile-In mechanic works. If my Gothizzar Harvester makes a charge and ends up in combat with the first model of the Necropolis Stalkers, can it then perform a Pile-In (as shown in the second photo) in order to get inside the objective zone?

Looking for advice on how to implement difficult terrain in Skirmish games

Right now my group mostly plays OPR Skirmish on small tables (2'x2' to 2'x3') using the Kitchen Table rules. We usually play with cover terrain and blocking terrain, and every now and then we include climbable terrain. The one thing we've never really used is difficult terrain, mostly because we don't have any physical pieces to represent it on the table.

That wouldn't be a big deal, except there are army and unit rules that actually benefit from difficult terrain, so it feels like we're not getting the most out of our armies.

So I have a couple of questions:

How do you represent difficult terrain on your tables?

Do you usually have just one area of difficult terrain, or do you spread it around the board more evenly like cover terrain?

What's a cheap or DIY way to add difficult terrain to a game?

Thanks in advance!
