10,000 years of men leading, and look where we are. Can we finally admit it's not working?

Let's state the obvious because apparently, it needs to be said. Men have held power for most of recorded history. Kings, dictators, CEOs, religious leaders. They've built empires, waged wars, and shaped the world in their image.

And what do we have to show for it? Wars that have killed millions. A planet that's literally burning. Systems that exploit the majority for the benefit of a few. A culture that equates masculinity with dominance, control, and violence.

I'm not saying every man is evil. I'm saying the system of male leadership—centuries of it—has produced a world that is dangerously unbalanced, violent, and unsustainable.

People will say "not all men." I know. I'm not talking about individual men. I'm talking about the pattern, the system, the trend.

Some will argue that women can be just as corrupt. Sure, that's true. But the tendency is different. When you put a group with more empathy, cooperation, and care at the top, the outcomes are statistically better. This isn't about hating men. This is about pattern recognition.

I'm not asking for a world where men are vilified. I'm asking: can we at least admit that the system of male leadership has failed? Can we stop pretending that the people who've led us to the edge of destruction are the same ones who can lead us out of it?

It's time to try something new. I'm not saying women are perfect. But after 10,000 years of male leadership, maybe it's time to let the other half of the population have a turn.

Men, tell me: why should you keep leading? Women, tell me: what would you do differently?

If I have to hide my past to keep a man, then why the fuck would I want one?

keep seeing reels, posts, and advice columns telling women:
"Don't share your traumas with a man."
"Don't tell him your past."
"Don't be vulnerable. Men will use it against you."
"Keep your body count a secret."
"Don't let him see the messy parts of you."

And honestly I get it. I really do.

Most men are not equipped to hold your story. They'll judge, they'll run, they'll use it against you. I've seen it happen. I've lived it.

But here's my question: Then why the hell would I want one?

What's the point of being in a relationship if I have to hide who I am to keep him around? What kind of love is that? A love that only exists when I'm performing a sanitized version of myself? A love that can't handle my full story?

I've been through things. I've made choices. I've survived abuse, manipulation, and heartbreak. I'm not ashamed of that because that's what made me who I am. And if someone can't handle that, they don't get to be with me.

I had a friend tell me once that I was "stupid" for being so open with a guy. That I should hide things. That I should play it safe.

But I don't want to play it safe. I want to be known. I want someone who can hold my story and not flinch. Someone who wants to know all of me, not just the parts that are easy to digest.

If I have to hide my past, my traumas, my truth then I'm not in a relationship. I'm in a performance.

And I'm too tired to perform anymore.

So here's my question to you:

If you can't share your real self with the person you're with, then why are you even with them?

The uncomfortable truth about dating in your 20s: Why hiring a gigolo is a power move, not a low point.

I have been seeing so many women online calling it pathetic or low to hire a male escort. It honestly makes me sick because it is based on the same tired internalized idea that a woman’s value is tied to being chosen by a man for free.
We are constantly conditioned to believe the ultimate prize is to have a man chase us and choose us while we sit on a pedestal waiting for approval. I am 26 and I am completely done with that script. I do not want the chase. I do not want the games. Why should I wait for a man to choose me when I can literally pay him to be exactly who I need him to be?

Think about the time and energy it takes to train a partner in the bedroom. You have to be vulnerable, you have to hope he listens, and you have to hope he actually cares about your specific needs. It is an emotional gamble. With a gigolo, you are hiring someone who is already trained to listen. You are paying for the expertise, the compliance, and the attention. You list exactly what you want, how you want to be treated, and the specific BDSM dynamics you crave, and he does it because that is the service. No guessing, no teaching, and no hoping he finally gets it.

I know some people say being in a relationship is amazing if both partners are truly connected, but let us be real: that is an ideal that rarely exists, especially here in India. The reality is that the woman almost always ends up giving more emotional, mental, and physical labor just to keep the dynamic afloat. I am not interested in being a project manager for a man’s ego. When I am in a relationship, a man might provide my needs, but he also expects me to provide his….and I am not interested in that trade. I am not ready to give more of myself when I am already tired of the imbalance.
I would rather focus on my career, my life, and my own happiness. This is not even a new concept; look at the Ken boyfriend culture where women are choosing to pay for companionship and satisfaction on their own terms. It is about agency.

I am not here to be a prize. I am here to live my life. I have zero interest in gambling my emotions on a man who might disappoint me. For me, spending my emotions on a man is like gambling, and I hate to gamble. I would rather earn my own money, call the shots, get the exact physical and sexual satisfaction I want, and then go right back to my life without any strings attached.

Stop worrying about whether it is low to pay for your own pleasure. Start worrying about why you are still waiting for a man to give you for free what you could just secure yourself. It is not about being desperate. It is about being done with the games.

My brother is an incel

I’m finally ready to say it: my brother is an incel.

It’s wild to witness…two people born into the same family, raised by sisters who grew up in the same house, only to end up as polar opposites. We’re both single children. We share the same grandparents, the same blood, and the same history. But somewhere along the line, our paths diverged so sharply it feels like we belong to different worlds.
I was raised to be independent, to question things, and to value my own autonomy. My parents pushed me to grow, and in turn, I’ve pushed them to be better, too. We’ve built a life that values truth.
Then there is my cousin. He grew up as the family’s golden boy. With all the money, the trips to the US, and the status, he was always the one the family fawned over. But while he was being handed the world on a silver platter, he never had to learn how to exist in it. He is 28 now, and he’s still just a performance. He stays glued to his phone, hides behind a wall of fake mysterious energy, and acts completely spineless when it comes to his own family. He never stands up for anything; he just complies, safe in the bubble his status provides.
The irony is brutal. Our parents came from the same roots, but I turned out to be the outlier while he turned out to be the hollow golden child.
The deeper I look at his behavior the misogyny, the way he treats women as objects to be controlled, the way he uses his mystery as a shield to hide his total lack of character, the more I’m 110% sure he is an incel. It is honestly chilling to realize that someone like this exists in my own family, masquerading as a normal guy while being fundamentally empty inside.
Ladies, look around. Check the men in your own lives. If you see this pattern the fake mystery, the performative dominance, the lack of real character, I am genuinely sorry for you. It’s time we stop playing detective for guys who have absolutely nothing inside to offer. I truly hope he never gets married, because no one can fix a creature like that. People like him deserve to be left alone

Something I’ve been struggling with lately:

Something I’ve been struggling with lately:
Why are women always expected to be the morally superior ones? Whenever women talk about misogyny, there’s immediately pressure to be patient, nuanced, empathetic, educational, and inclusive. We are expected to explain feminism correctly, teach men gently, avoid generalizations, and make sure everyone feels comfortable.

And honestly? Sometimes I don’t want to do any of that.

I don’t want to spend my time teaching men. I want to talk to women. I want to talk about the misogyny I’ve personally experienced. I want to read books written by women. I want to understand the systems that shaped my life. I want to have conversations with women who are questioning things for the first time.

Lately I’ve been reading books like Men Who Hate Women and Disobedient Under Patriarchy, and they’ve given me language for experiences I already had. I’m planning to read more. I’m also an Indian woman, and my personal vision for my life doesn’t currently involve marriage. I want independence, peace, and the freedom to make choices for myself.

But lately I’ve noticed something else.

In some online spaces, it feels like feminism is no longer enough on its own. There is pressure to hold the correct position on every issue, consume the right things, use the right language, and sometimes even adopt an entire lifestyle to be considered a “real” feminist. For example, I’ve seen people argue that you can’t really be a feminist unless you’re vegan. I understand the arguments people make. I understand that many people care deeply about animal welfare. I respect that. But veganism and feminism are not the same movement. If someone is vegan, great. If someone is a feminist, great. If someone is both, great. What confuses me is the idea that feminism must constantly absorb more and more moral requirements before a woman is allowed to belong. Especially when many women are still struggling just to question misogyny in the first place. Sometimes it feels like women discussing their own experiences are expected to be morally flawless, while the behavior that made these conversations necessary in the first place is treated as a separate issue. Does anyone else find that exhausting? I’m genuinely curious how other women think about this.

Still Too Many Sleeping Women

I want to create content analysing patriarchy, but I keep hesitating. A part of me feels like many women have already “coped” with these ideas.
Then I meet women in real life who are only now realising that “not like other girls” was never a compliment, or that male validation was never safety.
I myself have moved from coping to a point where I genuinely don’t want men around me anymore.
If the awareness is still new for so many women, is it still worth making content? Or has this conversation already been exhausted?
