[IWantOut] 23F France-> UK,Canada

Hello!

I loveeee living in France, but I have a very difficult family situation and would really like to find some freedom and independence by moving somewhere where my family would have much less access to me.

My dream has always been to move to London, especially since my LDR partner lives there. I was hoping to do it within the next two years, but as my family situation has gotten significantly worse, I'd now like to move, as soon as realistically possible.

I'm trilingual (French, English, and Russian) and currently learning Mandarin.

Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of "useful experience" when it comes to my studies and work history. I did one year of art school, three years of psychology, and I'm now working in insurance/finance. My other jobs have mostly been part-time student jobs.

I currently only have around 10k€ in savings.

I'd really appreciate any advice, even if it's advice telling me that moving abroad isn't realistic for me right now, haha. I'm just trying to figure out what my options are and where I could realistically go.

Please be kind though! I'm looking for practical advice rather than judgment.

Many thanks in adavnce!

Early 20s, Lower middle class--is it worth it to invest right now

Hello, I hope people won't mind my ignorance given that this is the beginners sub lmao

My older sister tells me she regrets not investing sooner, and all the people I work with are investing.

The issue is, like many people in my generation, it is hard for me to feel hopeful for the future and everything is so chaotic rn that investing feels scary. Furthermore, I've only really begun to enter the working world so I don't have that much savings I was thinking of investing 200 euros or less per month, but that's still a lot of money to me so I don't want to mess up ;;

In your opinions, should I wait to gain a little more capital before I begin to invest, or should I risk it and start as soon as possible? Im aware that theres no perfect time to start..but it feels like now is an especially bad time ahahha

Forgive any mistakes, not a native english speaker etc etc

(not an English speaker sorry for any mistakes etc etc)

It wasn't even because of stress or something big, so I'm really embarrassed. my manager makes comments everyday multiple times a day about how I'm too quiet and discreet and don't talk loud enough and how even though I only started recently I should at least be more outgoing which are valid points but because he kept going on and on about it for some reason I felt really hurt and cried. It's so embarrassing. I feel like I make a lot of efforts and really try to integrate and talk with my co-workers and the clients, but I'm not extraverted or fun..maybe it's a cultural difference I have with them, but I'm also just naturally really shy, and I have autism which I would rather not share with them. I don't know how to change my personality, I feel like he's extra harsh on me not being sociable and not the others, he asks me to do extra stuffs I'm not comfortable with which they themselves don't do to force me out of my comfort zone but it just feels unfair and overwhelming to me

I'm the only woman and the only person in my early 20s so I feel extra embarrassed as I feel in some ways responsible for reacting so emotionally to something as I'm afraid it will play into stereotypes they have on women

I know it's on me, but I just wanted to vent and was wondering if anyone could relate, i sometimes wonder if I'm just not meant to work
