Broken Rod

Broken Rod

I ended up in the Emergency Room for something unrelated. When they did a CT of my abdomen, this broken Rod was discovered at T10, right below the cage that replaced T8 and T9.

I see my spinal surgeon on July 16th. Anyone experience something that looks similar? I already have PTSD from the first surgery which has turned me into a recluse. I am horrified at the thought of a full revision.

Original surgery performed March 2023 for a 80+ Degree Kyphosis due to Scheuermann’s Disease. T4-L1, T8/T9 replaced with a cage, and T7-T10 laminectomy.

T4-L1 Fusion. T8-T9 were removed and replaced with a cage. Surgery March 2023.

Today I went to the ER with abdominal pain and ended up getting a CT scan. It appears my right rod broke at T-10. Now I am curious how unstable things are since the rod broke right below the cage.

Has anyone else gone through something similar with a cage? I am guessing this likely means a revision is coming.

Civ VII Switch 2 Performance

Hi everyone - I started playing Civ VII on Switch 2. I love it but does anyone else encounter incredibly long load times between turns? It gets really bad in Modern Age with larger maps.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix, or just how it is? I’ve considered picking it up on PC to see if it is any better. I went back to Civ VI and started playing that on Switch 2. It plays a lot better on Switch 2 than it did on Switch 1 when I first played it 6 years ago. But I just enjoy VII so much more than VI.

Any tips on how to improve performance would be appreciated. Thanks!
