Dyeing or paint shoes?

I really like how these shoes feel on but HATE the color on me. They also come in black but I the black visually weighs me down. I need something in the middle. I know the heel and straps won't dye the same. I'm looking at dyeing them with Rit DyeMore or iDye Poly. I would brush it on in several light coats instead of one heavy coat or soaking them.

OR should I use fabric paint? Jacquard Dye-Na-Flow, Angelus 2-Soft mixed with Angelus acrylic or Jacquard Textile Color??? open to other options

Has anyone dyed Skechers before? I'm guessing it's a polyester mesh. I know it has to be very hot I do have a pot large enough to dunk them in. Just not sure if that's the best option?

I would rather dye them as paint seems to always chip off.

Tradtional Fabrics

Looking for traditional embroidered fabric, trims, lace. Something different than what I can get in the states. I'm not sure if Brasov or Bucharest would be a better spot t look for them. I know I can google fabirc shops but not sure if one has a better selection than another and we are kind short on time.

Seven Ladders Canyon footwear

I have open toe, water heavy hiking sandles (tevas and chacos) would they be okay for this hike? I've been told someone will check your footwear and I don't want to get turned away. I've hiked in them before and have been fne.

7 Stairs Canyon hike in Teva's

I live in my Tevas and have hiked in them many times. We are planning on doing the 7 Stairs Canyon hike and I worry about my shoes being soaked. Can I do it in my Tevas or tennis shoes?

Five days in Romania: ambitious, insane, or just caffeinated?

Coming to Romania in August and would love some local advice before I lock things in! We enjoy staying busy but don't want to spend the entire trip racing from one attraction to the next.

Our biggest questions:
• Is this itinerary realistic without feeling rushed?
• For Saturday in Bucharest, would you do Therme in the morning, afternoon, or evening?
• On Sunday, would you choose the Village Museum, the National Museum of Art or do something else entirely?
• Is there anything we're missing that you'd swap in immediately?

If you had to cut ONE thing from this itinerary, what would it be?

We are renting a car, heat shouldn't be an issue we live in a very hot climate. One of us lives around bears so hiking with the posiblity of one isn't out of the norm.

  • Historic Brașov Walk
  • Weavers’ Bastion $2
  • Medieval city walls
  • Rope Street (Europe’s narrowest)
  • Catherines Gate

  • Drive back to Bucharest
  • Carturești Carusel - bookstore open till 10 or 12am
  • 7: 00 pm romanian athenaeum (doubtful)

Day 4 Saturday

  • 8 am van gogh cafe
  • 845 - Stavropoleos Monastery
  • Macca-Villacrosse Passage
  • 10-1pm  Communist/Dark History Tour
  • 2-630  Therme Bucharest

Which would you choose? Bucegi National Park + Scropoasa Lake Loop, Via Ferrata in Buzău or something different?

Super excited to visit Romania in August! We're splitting our time between Bucharest and Brașov, and I'm already in full spreadsheet-planning mode.

We're definitely doing the 7 Ladders Canyon hike, but for our second adventure we're torn between:

  • Bucegi National Park + Scropoasa Lake Loop
  • The via ferrata in Buzău
  • Or...is there an even better hike/adventure within reasonable driving distance that we're overlooking?

We'll have a rental car, but we're trying to avoid spending half the vacation in it.

Also, very important research: snack recommendations. We plan to raid the nearest Carrefour Market to stock up for road trips and hikes. What shelf-stable Romanian snacks should we absolutely try? Sweet, salty, weird, nostalgic childhood favorites—I want the full Romanian experience.

ChatGPT also told me to keep an eye out for pink heirloom tomatoes, local peaches, dark purple plums, fresh walnut kernels, and wild berries because they're supposedly on another level compared to the U.S. Was I given good advice, or have I been manipulated by an AI with strong feelings about produce?

First time at Therme Bucharest—what ticket would you buy again?

Unfortunately, Saturday is the only day that works for us on our trip to Romania, so we're planning to visit Therme Bucharest right when they open and were thinking about getting the 4.5-hour ticket.

I've read that if you do the 4.5 hour ticket to just do the Palm level, but I'm not convinced. We aren't really the "sit by the pool drinking cocktails all day" type, but we're also not the "meditate in silence for hours in a sauna" type either.

We'll probably do a few slides, I absolutely love a lazy river, and the different saunas sound amazing (although I have no idea how many saunas you're supposed to try, how long you're meant to stay in them, or how long my patience will last in one!). We're mostly looking for a relaxing experience, but we don't want to sit around all day either.

For those of you who've been to Therme Bucharest, is the Palm ticket enough, or would you recommend upgrading to Elysium? Is 4.5 hours enough to enjoy it, especially on a Saturday if we arrive when they open?

Fighting frizz after on non wash days

I have a digit perm and love it. They told me to just put curl cream in and let it air dry. that definitely does not work. I have been using:

coconut miracle oil by OGX pre shower

Dove intense repair shampoo and conditioner

Pantene miracle rescue mask

Pantene miracle leave in heat protectant

curl blueberry bliss control gel

Follow that up with the diffuser to dry

sleep in a bonnet

On non wash days I do curls blueberry coconut milk to try to tame the frizz On damp/dry hair. I have also tried Dove 10-in-1 Bond Shield Super Serum

Wash day is okay but the next day I'm starting to look like I put a fork in an outlet.

Graying coarse hair, I live in TX and we have some humidity and it's super hot. During the work week I wash my hair at night so I only get a sorta non frizz day on the weekend. Any suggestions would be appreciated

What's the point of AM sunscreen if it wears off in 2 hours?

I put my sunscreen on, drive to work in the dark and pretty much work half the day in artificial light. Should I just put it on when I leave work? How do you do that over make up?
