I headcanon Silver as aroace

I’ve been thinking about Silver and a lot of his ships, and while I there are some good ships involving Silver like Sonilver, I think most of his ships are eh.

But it kind of got me thinking about Silver’s character a bit more. And honestly, I feel like Silver would fit naturally as an aroace character. Now I’m sort of on the fence between that or him being bi, but I think him being aroace would be really cool.

Anyways what do you guys think?

Is there anything I need to know for welcome week?

Like do I need to take anything there, where do I need to go, what stuff should I bring back? I'm so confused right now and I would appreciate it if someone helped me out here.

Honestly, I think Silver is more like Spider-Man/Peter Parker than Sonic is

Now I do want to clarify that I’m not saying Sonic and Spider-Man don’t share any similarities. I do think Spidey and Sonic have somewhat similar personalities, being carefree and what not. But overall, I think Silver shares a lot more similarities withe the webhead. And it all comes down to the iconic quote “with great power, comes great responsibility.”

I don’t really think “with great power, comes great responsibility” fits Sonic’s philosophy. Sonic doesn’t do things because he feels like he’s obligated to, he does them because he wants to. His acts of good come from just wanting to do what he wants to. He lives by his own rules.

Silver on the other hand, I think “with great power, comes great responsibility” fits him very well. Silver is the kind of character who does things because he feels like he’s obligated to. He does what he does because it’s the right thing to do.

Honestly, if Silver ever does get a solo story, I think it should be a street level story similar set in Silvers future. I think it being structured like a Spider-Man story would fit Silver well, but I think I should leave that for another post.

Anyways, those are my thoughts.

Is the a website or app that can help me find the textbooks I need for my classes?

I'm a freshman, and I was wondering if anyone could help me here?

It would be really cool if they brought back Eggman having his eyes visible for comedic effect.

It’s such a funny detail that adds to his charm. It reminds you that he’s still human, even if he can be menacing. Of course I don’t want them it all the time. Then it would lose its luster. But having it pop up from time to time would be really neat.

Hot take, but the whole silhouette thing Eggman is starting to feel a bit overused as of late

Not I wanna clarify that I’m not saying to sucks. I think it’s really cool, but as of late it feels like it’s been used way too much. Especially in the new DC crossover comic. Like it’s been used about five times in this run so far. The constant use of it has sort of made it loose its luster.

And don’t get me wrong, Eggman being intimidating is cool and all, but you also gotta remember this guy is called “Eggman.” He’s meant to be a mix of intimidating and goofy. Having outweigh the other leads to things getting a bit messy.

And honestly, you don’t constantly need to spam the silhouette thing for Eggman to look intimidating. Even if it was used in Archie, that comic run didn’t constantly spam the silhouette thing and he was still intimidating.

Honestly, I just think the silhouette thing should be used sparingly. Makes the moments when he does use it even more impactful. But I guess that’s all my thoughts on this.

I actually really like Silver and Eggman Nega’s dynamic

Now I do understand why some people don’t like it, and I understand and respect that. If you don’t like it then that’s fine by me. But to me, it’s really cool.

If there’s one key theme I can point between the two, it’s there drive to change destiny. They both hate the hands they're dealt, the worlds they're born into. So they fight destiny. Both aim take it in their own hands. Rewrite the legends, change the world how they see fit.

Another thing I really like is the contrast between how they treat Chao. Despite Silver being aggressive due to the circumstances he’s in, he’s actually really soft around the Chao in Rivals 2. This affection he has for Chao is then seen many times in the series. Meanwhile, Nega was gonna feed the Chao to the Ifirt. And while the Chao would have made the Ifrit stronger, it was super already dangerous without them. He could have simply unleashed the Ifrit and his plan would have worked, but he went out of his way to be a monster. It really shows the contrast between Silver’s softness and Nega’s cruelty.

Despite it being a happy accident, Silver and Nega contrast each other very well. From their personalities, to even their designs. Honestly, there’s a lot I could talk about, but I think we’d be here all day if I did. I’m thinking of making another post delving deeper into their dynamic, along with other posts about Nega’s dynamic with other characters. From Blaze, to Eggman, to even Shadow.

But I guess that’s it for now lol. Thanks for reading.

Hot take, but I actually kind of like the portal explanation for Silver's time travel

I think the portals show how he never really wanted to be this protector of time and what not, but feels obligated to help. Like how X doesn't like violence but still fights for the greater good.

Hot take, but I don’t think Silver really needs his own team

There’s been a bunch of talk about giving Silver his own cast, and while I do agree he should get one, I don’t think he really needs to follow the exact same formula.

I think it would make more sense for him to be the kind of guy who usually works solo, but is always willing to work with others. Kind of like how Aqualad is an honorary member of the Teen Titans.

I feel like an odd one out as an Eggman Nega fan

I haven’t really been on here for to long, but I’ve noticed that there seems to be a bit of a split between whether Eggman Nega should be from the Sol Dimension or from the future. And from what I’ve seen, it seems to lean more towards the future. Which makes me feel out of place because I prefer him being from the future.

There’s also the whole topic between if he should be a villain to Blaze or Silver, and again, I feel like I’m the odd one out because I like Nega’s dynamic with both of them.

And that’s not even mentioning that a lot of people don’t really seem to like Eggman Nega. So even if I didn’t have the problems I mentioned before, there’s still the fact a lot of people don’t gaf about him.

And it sucks because I really like Eggman Nega, and what to talk about him more, but I just feel like I’d be an odd one out because I prefer things that go against the general consensus. But idk. I guess that’s just how I feel.

Yo, I’ve been wanting to get into the Flash comics, but I don’t know where to start. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Here are my headcanons for the age ranges of the main five Sonic characters

The way I see it, characters like Sonic, Amy, and Knuckles would be around the age of being juniors or seniors in high school during the Classic Era, and around the age of being college freshmen during the Modern Era.

Hot take, but I don't really think Sage should be Silver's nemesis. A villain to him, sure. But not his nemesis.

Silver is meant to be a fish out of water. He's the only consistent thing in his constantly changing future and out of place in the past. I think his nemesis should be someone just like him. Some who is the only consistent thing in a constantly changing future.

Sage just doesn't really seem like the kind of character who would want to time travel like
Silver. Plus, I think making Sage just be "future Eggman" is really basic and boring. There's a lot more you can do with Sage in the future than just the same formula.

But those are just my thoughts lol. Thanks for reading this small ramble of mine.

I keep on going back and forth between “I think Silver and Blaze can work as a duo if done properly” and “Silver and Blaze should be kept separate” and it’s driving me crazy.

It’s a real shame because they do have a lot of potential to be a good duo, but Sega keeps fucking it up. I’m not the kind of guy who likes to sweep things under the rug and instead try and fix what’s there, but idk man.
