Salary issues

I just got graduated and I knew from starting that salaries will be low as compared to software and IT roles. But now it is becoming depressing for me thinking I chose the wrong degree. (Country - India)

I love my work but my motivation is on the lowest level now. Can anyone tell their success story (like good growth rate), I am able to find none. Growth in this field is fully based on year of experience, rather than performance.

How should I cop up? Also if I want to switch to other fields, like finance or consulting, is it possible?

Too much expensive sensor

My autonomous team has suggested us to buy a $950 IMU for our driverless vehicle. (6DOF)

I have very less knowledge about autonomous systems but as far as I know, 950 is fucking high price for just an IMU required for an fsae vehicle.

Wanted your suggestion to back my opinion against them. I think IMUs of 100-200 $ should work just as fine.

B.Tech. Project Ideas

Hey, its been a while since our group is searching for a good B.Tech. Thesis Project. I have worked in a Formula Student team so most projects we are searching seems to be either of no value gain or too tough (considering testing facilities in our college).

We are interested in any core domain (except CFD) and controls/electronics related to projects. The project should preferably include prototyping and testing.

The duration will be around 8 months and we are a team of 4-5 people so please suggest some good projects.

Also it will be great if you can list the projects you did in the final year.

Quiting this bad habit

So I had been addicted to a bad habit (sexual kink) and I just did it and feel very guilty about it and it is deteriorating my physical and mental health.

I swear to God to quit it now onwards and I will throw away any related material which can provoke it.

Looking for a healthy life ahead.

I will keep updating this thread at 1,2 and 6 months.

Admission fee Clarification

Hi, so my brother has given VITEE and he has got 9xx rank. He has also given JEE Advanced today but is unsure about his rank (maybe 7k-8k or worse 15-20k).

Tommorrow is the deadline for fee submission, and he will have be to pay around 2 Lakhs if he wants to freeze the seat.

In refund rules, it is written that VIT follow UGC norms. Can anyone please clarify if refund of fees is possible (5 or 10k deduction works).

Hey community, till now we have used only cotter pins to secure hub from coming out of the upright, but the method seems very unprofessional.

Please suggest some alternative methods.

Also, how do you press fit the hub into the upright? During the process, our bearings get damaged.
