Tapo indoor security camera plug exploded - possible explanations and what to do?
Hi all, just looking for advice as just a bit freaked out!
Was just watching tv and heard a massive bang, dog jumped out of his skin. Had absolutely no idea what it was but the burnt electric smell was so potent that I checked all the plugs.
The plug to our tapo indoor pan tilt security camera has exploded. It was plugged in directly into our plug socket and the socket switch was turned on. We haven’t unplugged or turned the pocket switch off in a while as it is set up in place for us to monitor our dog when needed.
Is this a tapo fault or could this be a problem with our plug socket? I will avoid using the plug/socket but is there anything to do in the meantime and do i need to get an electrician round ASAP?
We bought this house about 6 months ago and no other issues so far and as it is our first home, i’m so clueless what to do from here. Thanks!
