I’m a life long Charlotte native, and LEGO recently launched a contest to build an iconic NBA mascot. I wanted to represent Charlotte, and I thought this would be really cool. I also didn’t know that Hugo was designed by Cheryl Henson, Jim’s daughter.

I wanted to get better at building in studio so I decided I would enter every LEGO ideas challenge. I got carried away. 8 submissions for Pokemon, 2 for Yugioh, 3 for the mini space build, 4 for adventures in the outdoors, 4 Batmobiles, 1 idea set of my own, 1 mascot build, and I have one Dino build pending.

Here is my sixth build for the TCG challenge. This is probably my favorite one so far. You can view them all on my profile! And thanks for everyone who has left comments. I have supported most everyone, and will go back to make sure I’m at 100%!

I've been taken a pretty long break from breakin' but here is a prelim round from last year.

I always loved the design of cloud city and thought it would look great in a diorama. Then I mocked it up to look like an official set.

After burning myself out Pokémon card builds (I did a 6th one last night) I turned my attention to the LEGO Batmobile challenge. I had no intention to enter, but these ideas popped in my head on a drive home last week and they were too funny not to do.

Finally! After weeks of building 5 different sets, every single one has been submitted and approved! This is my final card, an armored Mewtwo inspired by Pokemon: The Movie. Mewtwo was a pretty challenging build, but I wanted to go a step further and include the experimental armor / suit it was wearing in the movie. I think this build really captures the essence of it and I was very happy with how it turned out. The only tweak I would have made in hindsight is doing a purple/white pattern on the back for the master-ball coloring but oh well. Mewtwo even has a swappable helmet build as well.
