A traitor to her family, her lord, and herself; a blade sheathed by a dead man's will. Beom Hyeseo as a Fixer specializes in investigating and resolving the Distortion Phenomenon. An individualistic and rather straightforward person with a penchant for violence who may easily start enjoying a fight. She can show herself to be a surprisingly perceptive and empathetic person whenever the time calls for it, but she often uses her understanding to provoke and aggravate people. Likewise, she is also quick to be provoked and aggravated. A proficient practitioner of the Ppyeo Circle's interpretation of the Swordplay of the Homeland.

A very notable trait of Beom Hyeseo's is her ability to keenly sense, perceive, and observe both what is material and what is spiritual as a single complete whole--her aptitude for the Tiansha Star's Blade. She sees the 'spirit' as symbols which are attached to people and objects, and often don't extend past a person's body by much. These symbols are what represent a person's 'self' (their goals; their past; their desires; etc.) and would most likely look like something akin to Distortions / Outskirts monsters to anyone else should she draw it. She only found out people don't look irregular after seeing a portrait painting when she was young.

Despite her long and extensive training in swordplay from youth: she is unable to rend space, which may be due to her disinterest in learning how to do so and the ability of her starblade. She is unable to manifest Shin or Mang.

She is incompetent at baduk. Still, she holds fond memories of it, and would accept should someone challenge her.

Born Bul Hyeseo in District 19's Ppyeo Circle. Her family was minor and didn't hold much influence, but was a good distance above the median in terms of wealth. The majority of the efforts from her parents since 8 years old regarding her were related to training martial prowess and little else--she showed some talent regarding the brush, but she displayed much more talent with the blade. As a result, her social ability was never able to really develop, with most of the times she does interact with someone having her respond with only yes or no.

She eventually passed 20 years old as someone not much more than a blade. For the past 12 years of her life after reaching 20: she was tutored by fine practitioners of the Ppyeo Circle's Swordplay of the Homeland, taught complete loyalty to her family, and it seemed almost inconceivable for her not to pass the military examinations (武科)  and gain a prestigious position within one of the Circle's military--leading her unit to defend S Corp. from rebels or outlaws in Dujeong Brigandine. These were all farfetched hopes from her parents, and she did not take the military examinations. She was instead found and employed by an aristocrat who witnessed her skill: Yeo Yuwon. (she is 20 years and 3 months old old)

Bul Hyeseo was involved in a brawl with a rowdy drunk on her way to the military examinations, and she severely beat and killed the drunkard. She was charged for murder of a Wing employee as the drunkard was one of S Corp.'s jailors--she was quickly bailed out by Yeo Yuwon, who then asked her a string of questions. The string of questions mainly pertained to her thoughts about S Corp.'s current state, to which she all just responded with "mhm." She wasn't all that interested, really. Eventually, she said she was hungry as an excuse to leave, and Yeo Yuwon gave her a large sum of Ahn to spend freely without spending her own family's money. She asked for more, and he gave her more. Bul Hyeseo left the conversation at last, and went back to traveling to the examination grounds. She met Yeo Yuwon again, and this time he offered her to become his bodyguard. Initially she planned to decline, but accepted as soon as he had said that he comes from a wealthy and influential family, believing that her family would enjoy the arrangement.

They did not, and she was promptly disowned by her family. By then, her full name would only be Hyeseo, and she would be Yeo Yuwon's bodyguard for the next four-to-five years of her life. Throughout those years, she had been taught a few things--mostly relating to social skills, but they did play baduk every now and then. As well, she would gain some amount of fame as his loyal bodyguard, eventually being nicknamed by some visiting Hongyuan residents as the "Heishou from S Corp." How she often acted was not so much different from a Heishou; she would lurk around and strike at a moment's notice when Yuwon would be threatened. His goals and ideals would also rub off on Hyeseo, which involved 'purging the inequality and corruption which plagues S Corp.'

One day, Hyeseo would be sent off by Yeo Yuwon to investigate the prolonged silence of an outpost -- the request being sent by another Wing Official who Yeo Yuwon trusted. When she came, she would see a complete massacre with corpses strewn about and the culprit in the midst of fleeing: the person who would she find out, by succession, is (or 'was') the Tiansha Star. She chased after the Star, and the two fought savagely with Hyeseo ultimately becoming the victor by virtue of being in a far better physical condition than the Star. She had taken the blade -- which was very literally only the blade, no handle or scabbard -- and left. A few days later, she would meet with a stranger who informed her of her supposed allegiance to the Pinky, and offered to forge her blade into an actual sword; an offer which the previous Tiansha Star refused. Hyeseo accepted the offer and asked it to be forged into a sword, which would then return to her as a great hwando.

Yeo Yuwon would become a very persistent thorn for many corrupt Officials during his rise.

980, OCT. 1: Yeo Yuwon's estate would have large waves of assassins sent at night, and mountains of differently cut and beaten corpses would quickly pile up. She had known not where they came from, but it didn't matter to her: they were felled by her blade, and Yowun would live yet another day. Blood had spilled and flesh was cut and bone was separated--it had become like a very enjoyable dance for her. Some few minutes in, she would see the assassins retreating, and she planned to chase after them, yet remained where she was in fear that more might come. In the frenzy and the massacre, she came to realize Yeo Yuwon was blindly slain by her, beheaded. Immediately, she sought after the rest of the assassins, cursing them at the top of her lungs, and yet she would find nobody else. Tomorrow, her 27th birthday would pass in agony.

News of Yeo Yuwon's death spread quickly the day after, and Hyeseo was accused by some of killing Yeo Yuwon though very little evidence supported it. Many, nonetheless, took that simple accusation and called her a new name: 'Ju-in sal-inbeom' (Master murderer), which would eventually be shortened into her new name: Beom Hyeseo (犯慧緒), wherein Beom (犯) means 'violation.' Fed up, Beom Hyeseo took the head of an aristocrat Yeo Yowun planned to investigate and brutalized their body. She wasn't completely sure if they really were corrupt, but it'd make quite a good example. She threw the aristocrat's remains down in front of their estate at night before fleeing S Corp. to seek new allies and eventually return to avenge Yeo Yuwon's death.

She traveled to District 8's Backstreets, and registered as a Fixer there. She worked well as a one-man Office (named simply Yuwon's Office) and quickly rose up as a Fixer to try and be as influential and connected as possible. As a Grade 3 Fixer, she was eventually approached by Yo Juyuan, the Rep. of the Liu-Associated 23:59 Office. She joined the 23:59 Office and served as its main attacking core. She tried to get herself to be well-liked amongst the Office, but it didn't really work--most of them just thought her to be a socially stunted crazy swordswoman from S Corp. and paid her not much mind other than saying some formalities and greetings. Nonetheless, she still believed that she was getting close to the others and expanding her influence. Her stay with the 23:59 Office was cut short when the representative took on a contract impossible for them. Afterwards, only Beom Hyeseo and Yo Juyuan were left. Then only the representative was left after she was severely beaten by Beom Hyeseo in the Office's building. Beom Hyeseo then fled District 8 afterwards and moved south, ending up in District 9. Its Backstreets were still fairly affected by the Pianist's attack despite how long it had been, and so many Syndicates still wished to seize control of the vacant territory in the Backstreets, which caused many large-scale fights in the streets almost every day. (important: year is currently 982; two years spent as a Fixer)

Beom Hyeseo was a very avid participant in these battles, though she didn't have an exact side to join. She initially rationalized it simply as "if I kill enough, people will recognize me, and then they'll respect me" though it eventually just became "I want to kill." Of course, she did gain notoriety for her kills, but none of the Syndicates involved in the fights for territory tried recruiting her to her confusion. Instead, they all seemed to regard her as an enemy, which only confused her even more (as if she didn't go and kill many members of those Syndicates.) Eventually, she finally overheard why District 9 was in such a state--the Pianist, a Distortion, along with some additional information about Distortions and a few other notable Distortions. One such Distortion was about a Smoke War veteran who had brought their own memories of the war back into life.

The veteran made her think "if Distortions can bring their memories back, then there must be a possible Distortion that can bring Yuwon back." A Distortion like that would, ideally, bring her memory of Yeo Yuwon to life. And so, she decided to pour all her efforts into finding out more about Distortions, and opened up an Office under the name of the 23:59 Office, specializing in the Distortion Phenomenon. She has then stayed as a Fixer for the next 3 years, slowly rising up to a Grade 1. She gradually got better at detective-work, too, but she would undoubtedly still believe killing to be what she is best at.

Beom Hyeseo's Humanity

""Act not with impropriety; follow a path of righteousness; never take a life without a just cause; do not let your individual goals cloud the ideal for S Corp.—" I must answer with my own words? Then it is..." (genuinely ten minutes of thinking) "...loyalty, whether it be to a person, cause, or belief. To live without loyalty is to be like a stone thrown into a pond--it moves quickly yet it will drown without solid land to stand on."

The values she listed before speaking her own were once told to her by Yeo Yuwon. She still tries to follow what he has demonstrated to her, with success only in some areas.

The Tiansha Star's Blade

FORMAL NAME: Kkeunhdageom [끊다검]

The heavens themselves are not spared—heaven, earth, man, and the self. This star rises only for the one who perceives all material and spiritual as a single whole to sever them all. Formerly only a partially translucent blade measuring 145cm, now forged into a 190cm great hwando (the handle makes up 45cm of the hwando)

A Relic which contains the ability to cut the unified body and spirit; bringing both into disarray and disorder. The body may eventually recover from its wounds, yes, but the spirit will not follow, leaving a permanent burning 'wound' where a victim would be cut. When used at its full potential -- when its wielder has severed their mind (in other words: muga) -- is when it will defy the concept of Hanmaum, severing the spirit and body from Hanmaum and thus separating it from the interconnected whole, resulting in whatever is cut to be in a state somewhat similar to erasure; forever gone and unable to be returned.

From birth, she was gifted with special eyes which allowed her to see the current emotions of others manifested physically. Until the first White Nights and Dark Days, the emotions of others had no difference in how she perceived them: the anger of all denizens would look the same, and so would their happiness. It was only in the first passing where she would see variation, however slight. In the second passing: she came to see much variation between others. The eyes can be characterized by their reflectiveness--similar to that of a mirror.

Her Past

Born Bul Hyeseo, thirdborn of a family in District 19's Pi Circle's Backstreets. She enjoyed connection with her family until a plague swept through when she was 9 and affected a majority of her family, leaving only her and her siblings alive. A passing family from the Nest spotted Bul Hyeseo and her eyes, and so they took her into their family, hoping that such eyes would one day bring good fortune to them; and so her name was changed to Beom Hyeseo. The returns were immediate: the child had a talent for swordplay. She was quickly trained as much as possible, having her endure intense training for several years so she may one day become the Un'geom or Apex Blade of the Homeland. In this time, she would send back sums of money back to her remaining siblings.

When Beom Hyeseo was 19, her family was caught in a particularly severe conflict between the Pi and Ppyeo Circle, resulting in their land and possessions being 'borrowed,' to be returned only when they come to their graves. The family thus lost a significant amount of its influence, and collapsed. The girl then ran off and escaped to District 8's Backstreets, having intended to 'connect' with others and hopefully find some footing in a place she might be loosely familiar with. She rented a big-enough apartment, and did numerous jobs for Syndicates until 20 years old where she registered as a Fixer.

She operated in a one-man Office for a few months until a new Associate Office under the Liu Association caught her eye, and she requested to join as its first member aside from its Rep., Yo Yuang. Overtime, the Office grew larger, and the two developed feelings over the course of a year. She quickly rose to a Grade 3 Fixer, mostly due to her prior training.

One day: the rest of the Office just couldn't keep up, and were wiped out entirely on a mission--except for another one who Beom Hyeseo never met again. She then returned to S Corp. and joined its military. She had also found the rest of her biological family -- her siblings -- had emigrated from District 19.

Over the course of 7 years: she rose to the rank of a Second Ordinant as the Pi Circle's Military Commissioner, and became a candidate for the title of the Apex Blade of the Homeland.

One day, she stumbled into a hideout at S Corp.'s borders after an anonymous tip of rebels planning to attack the Pi Circle, and was met face-to-face with a Star of the Pinky, who requested her to join believing she held the aptitude for the starblade. The Ordinant refused, and so the two entered combat where Beom Hyeseo dominated for a large portion of the fight before the Star escaped.

When she returned home, she would meet only accusations and curses, where she was brought to the Royal Court where she was to be marked as a Nobi and then executed. Mere minutes before she would be branded--many Stars of the Pinky would come, and they would successfully break her out from S Corp. She was requested to join the Pinky again, and she begrudgingly accepted. She was given the Tiangang Star's 'Blade' -- which was still only its blade, which she would have to then forge into something else. Beom Hyeseo forged it into a great hwando, and had parted with the Stars.

(note: I want to justify the amount of Stars in this part as part of the Pinky being 'called' to recruit Beom Hyeseo as the Tiangang Star. Also the anonymous tip came from a Star as well.)

By chance, she would come to hear of the Distortion Phenomenon in more than just a passing term, and had pondered about the entities that come of it. She had decided then that she would investigate the phenomenon, wishing for a chance to bring Yo Yuang back on the slimmest chance a Distortion might create a loophole, and would come to District 9, reopening the 23:59 Office as its operator. She has then been in the Office for two years.

The Tiangang Star's Blade

A blade forged into a great hwando as to properly handle the forms of the Swordplay of the Homeland. The hwando measures up to 190cm (6'3"), with the handle making up 45 cm of the starblade. Due to its sheer length: it may be used similar to a staff when sheathed, which Beom Hyeseo keeps it as quite often.

Its special trait is its ability to adapt to its wielder's current form of combat--should Beom Hyeseo be on the offensive, it will feel much easier to swing yet it will also feel much more devastating for the opponent. Should she be on the defensive, it will feel as if it cannot be budged by the attacker, and it feels inclined to 'move' itself into harm's way to protect its wielder.

A war is soon to break out between R Corp. and the Library, alongside the numerous other factions involved with either party. The war has presumably been started due to the Library's return near R Corp.'s borders. Each party's involved members are not limited to only Fixers, similar to the Smoke War from ~20 years ago.

W Corp. has partnered with R Corp. to deal with the Library. The Library has partnered with X Corp. N Corp., though there have been sightings of them at battlefields, have not yet announced their affiliation--however, it is likely that they will involve themselves with R Corp.

Three of the Five Fingers have been spotted involved with the Library; the Index is theorized to be on both sides of the war.

The Liu Association has been contracted to work with R Corp.

Numerous Offices and Syndicates have been spotted on either side of the war.

A mysterious organization that seems to be involved with the Five Fingers -- the Den of Ravens -- has involved itself in the war, though it is unclear which party it is affiliated with.

It would be best to keep out of District 18 and the surrounding Districts. Should you reside in District 18 or any nearby Districts and wish to move out: it is suggested to act on those desires immediately.

With the recent devastation of a Seven Association Cafe, our Southern Branch Head had pressed charges for three-hundred million (300,000,000) Ahn against the Middle, the culprits.

The representatives for the Middle were Chesed, a Great Brother; and Felis, a Young Brother. Representing the Seven Association was Kel himself, and Ceilia Matera, a Fixer from 23:59 Office.

Reportedly: the trial did not go on for long, and it was revealed in here of Kel's severe mistreatment of his workers -- after the topic of the trial had been largely diverted away from the main charges -- paying only a hundred thousand (100,000) Ahn¹ monthly salary for his employees.

Kel forfeited the trial after being pressed on it. Chesed, however, still paid more than the amount demanded--twelve billion (12,000,000,000) Ahn, to be exact.

The Fingers unite in a joint operation against the "Blade of the House of Spiders" (henceforth referred to in this report as "Blade").

The "House of Spiders" was a secret project to create a "landfill" headed by disgraced high-ranking members from each Finger, erasing all who was unlucky enough to be thrown inside. It was formerly assumed to have failed after it was raided by the Head.

It was identified that the Blade can be likened to a concept incinerator. If it is felt that a significant "someone" was forgotten by you, it is more than likely that they have been eliminated by the Blade. One such casualty speculated to have been killed is a Color the Ebony Epitaph, after a Hana Association member discovered a Color Fixer that nobody remembers.

As the news is only very recent: the Hana Association has not issued any open contracts. However, it is theorized -- due to the threat this Blade causes -- that it will be assigned Star of the City.

Abnormality suppressed in District 17 (Q Corp.)

Involved Fixers include: Ham Porter, Grade 6 Fixer of the Pyrite Office; Hua Shu, Grade 3 Fixer & Meister of Szaruk Atelier.

An Abnormality was spotted roaming the backstreets of District 17. An open contract was posted for its suppression; only two fixers took it, one of which was a non-combatant. Initially believed dead as witnesses state the the two fixers had been blasted with a large shot from the Abnormality's rifle. They were later found alive at a nearby motel; however, the egg was not found.

Fixers have been hired to search for the egg for worry that it may return and cause havoc inside of the City once again.

A Fixer of the Dieci Association -- partnered with the Survivor Office and Mifflin Office -- found missing Seven Association Fixers in a 'laboratory' in the ruins. It is theorized that the Ring is involved in this.

Named Fixers are: Kotomine Kirei, of the 2nd Section Dieci Association; Manfredi, Grade 2 Fixer of the Survivor Office; and Johsnon, Grade 3 Fixer of the Mifflin Office.

Reportedly: the guards protecting the door leading into the laboratory are similar to the Index in appearance, but also similar to the Seven Association in fighting style. It was found in their fight that these guards are likely mechanical. The involved Fixers say that there was a blueprint for 'Beastly Prosthetics', though it was scorched.

Multiple things were discovered inside of the laboratory. In one door, the Fixers found several bodies with failed prosthetics attached. Teams sent to retrieve what was in that door have reported that it was burnt down. In another door were several cells which held the Seven Association fixers; some were injured, some were insane, but others were fine.

In the process of retrieving them, some have unfortunately succumbed to their injuries. But, thanks to the Fixers: seven of them have fortunately made it back to the Seven Association branch in K Corp. safely. It is currently unknown whether or not we will be able to get a testimony from the retrieved Fixers on what occurred in that lab.

A Fixer Office was recently established, and in the span of a single day: had miraculously accomplished three jobs.

Named members of said Fixer Office include: Seven Assoc. Southern Head Kel, 23:59 Office Fixer Effray Matera, Tianxiong Star Lin BaoChong, and Magical Girl Aura.

The Fixer Office, named Rats, was first contracted with W Corp. to clean out bloodbags inside of a WARP Train. Only two bloodbags were killed, whilst Effray... seduced... the other two...? No, that can't be right. Afterwards, Kel was found dead, but then revived by Effray Matera through... charm. Eh?

Their next job was to find a missing cat; in which they did. However, Kel tragically passed away once the job ended due to unknown causes. 'Reports say Kel tried to seduce the cat...' That can't be true, right? And by reports, does she mean just herself...?

Their next job included negotiating with the Kurokumo Clan for an object valuable to their employer. While the Kurokumo Clan originally expected to be paid Ahn for it; it was found that the Kurokumo Clan instead was the one who paid after Aura had charmed them.

All in all: if you have any problems related with charisma, just hire... the Rats... Is this an advertisement or a report?

Members of the Fingers were spotted inside the basement of a God of the Index. Specific found fingers are: 4 Index (1 Messenger, 2 Proxies, 1 Weaver, 3 from the Pinky), 5 Pinky Stars, and 1 Thumb.

One member spotted was also found to be the ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜

They were seen trying to cook pasta, and had burnt water as they did. Damage to the kitchen's sink was found, and it should be noted that all of them were not particularly competent in any field of cooking--save for one of them, who had taken over the event and cooked dinner for the other Finger members.

There seemed to be no plans made between the various members of the Fingers. However, it is still not yet known why this gathering had started. It could not have been started by the Thumb to strengthen relations, as the only member from there there was ranked a Soldato.
