Joined as consultant in partner

Hey everyone,

I joined as consultant in a partner company and got assigned a support and enhancement project. Primary module is core hcm and recruiting.

I am almost new to a workday configuration. I wont be getting any learning center access so need to rely on self study. They hired me because I had previous workday end user experience.

I would like to become an expert in this area. The plus point is I have the tenant access to practise but dont lnow where and what to begin with and what topics should I focus. Appreciate If someone can share any step by step learning path to follow.

PwC India appraisal hike - disappointed

Hi, I joined the firm last April as manager in advisory and was rated 3 in annual performance review.

Today I got to know my hike and this is the worst I have seen in my entire career spanning 10 yrs. The hike number is even less than my rating. However the Variable pay looks good around 9-10%

Note: I am not a poor performer. I have single handedly worked on delivery of a project of 10cr.

I checked with my manager and he said it has been tough year and advised me to try for Senior Manager position and things will be adjusted there.

This is utterly disappointing. My mind now says to look for different opportunities.

Exploration Out of Order job change

Hey everyone,

I have been assigned to explore this feature called Out of Order Job change for this sprint and come up with behaviour and impact analysis.

Can someone tell me how can I go ahead up with this. I have done the setup in implementation tenant by looking at the community.

How can I explore more and understand behaviour and impact assessment. What needs to be done here?

Hey guys,

Male in my early 30s based in Navi Mumbai. I already stay active—regular gym and cricket—so I’m not exactly isolated, but I’ve been realizing that most of my interactions are pretty surface-level.

I’m actually looking to build a closer friendship kind of bond—someone to hang out with, talk regularly, do random weekend stuff, etc.

For people in Navi Mumbai:
How have you managed to build close friendships as an adult?
Any specific groups / activities where people actually bond (not just show up and leave)?
Or is it more about turning existing acquaintances into closer friends?

Would appreciate real experiences, not just generic advice 🙌

I don’t have many friends at the moment. I work in the IT sector, earn decently, and am currently living a single life. On my usual days off, I like to take my bike out for a ride.

With the long weekend coming up, I wanted to check if there are any plans or meetups happening. I’m from Navi Mumbai and don’t mind travelling

Hi everyone,

I’m working on a configuration in Workday Recruiting and ran into a challenge with offer letter generation.

Currently, in our business process:

- The “Generate Document” step happens first (TA initiates and reviews it)

- The document gets a date stamped at generation time

- After that, sometimes the document may sit in inbox for a few days due to offline approvals or delays

- Eventually, the offer is sent to the candidate

The issue is:

👉 The business wants the date shown in the offer letter to reflect when the candidate actually receives it, not when the document was generated.

As far as I understand, Workday generates a static document at the “Generate Document” step, so it doesn’t automatically update later.

My questions:

  1. Has anyone implemented a way to have the “sent to candidate” date reflected inside the offer document?

  2. Is there any configuration or workaround (calculated fields, business process tweaks, etc.) to achieve this?

  3. Or is the only practical approach to move document generation to just before sending?

Would really appreciate hearing how others have handled this!

Thanks in advance 🙏
