So I’m applying tru oil to a 10/22 stock and I’m following this tutorial where this guy is wet sanding with 600 grit dipped in water to buff the layers after it has dried for a day.

He however didn’t specify how long he waited after sanding with water to apply another coat of oil. Has anyone else done this? If so how long should I wait after sanding with water to apply another coat?

Rough spot on my 10/22 that I’ve been refinishing with tru oil. I’m assuming it’s just not sanded properly. Should I remand the whole thing or what should I do?

Rough spot on my Ruger 10/22 stock. This is my first time finishing and applying tru oil to the stock and I’ve noticed it seems rough here compared to other areas like in the second picture. What should I do?
