Just Finished The Divine Comedy…
This book has been on my list for a long time. I always thought it would be one of the best things I have read or be very spiritually enlightening.
But after finishing it, I’m just left with an intense dislike for the author.
1- Dante seems very self centered and judgmental. He constantly bashes other parts of Italy and puts everyone he doesnt like in Hell.
2- A running theme of the book is humility but Dante has written this as if he is the most important person on Earth and everyone in the afterlife praises him
3- He is obsessed with this woman Beatrice throughout the whole book…and published this while married. Thats pretty shitty
I cant imagine this book being received well by anyone in his personal life, or the broader public. As he is constantly talking shit about people who recently passed away
Case of the Missing Pogs
I searched and havent seen this mentioned in this sub.
I collect all things Goosebump, but one thing has been elusive. The Pog set.
I have most of them but have never actually seen a complete set in a collection or for sale.
I have literally never seen #3, #6, #10, and #30
Does anyone have the complete set or these particular numbers? If you do I would be very interested in them
If you were in the episode “The Lonely”, would you have willingly left your wife behind?
Seeing as this is becoming more and more a reality as people are now communicating with AI on a personality basis..
If you were alone and had been with this very human bot and lived as companions, would you have willingly left them behind when rescue came? Would you have felt conflicted?
Honest question, do you think morticians have the same brain function as serial killers?
I read somewhere that it is built in to evolution that animals are naturally repelled and scared of dead bodies of their own species.
Its kind of a survival instinct, because if say you are a fox and theres a dead fox laying around. That might trigger you to feel there is a predator that kills foxes around. So it automatically triggers flight mode.
It seems like i remember it saying that same feeling is built into humans.
So why do you think morticians are so comfortable around dead bodies. Do you think its like a serial killer glitch, but instead of evil they use it for good?
Honest question, not trying to be disrespectful
An NDE I listened to the other day (trigger warning)
I listen to NDE sometimes while I am working and this particular one made me stop what I was doing.
I have heard alot of NDE’s about how we choose our life and what hardships we will go through, and agree to go through them beforehand. Nothing new there…
This one, however, has left me a little disturbed. This lady was telling her NDE story and that she didnt want to go back to her body but the entity in the afterlife told her she had agreed to this life.
And one of the traumatic events she went through was sexual assault as a child.
She said the entity showed her picking out her life and choosing sexual assault, and that the assaulter also chose his life and they both agreed to share that experience together. And they hugged before coming to Earth.
I found that reeeeallly hard to swallow. I kind of think she is full of it. What do you guys think?
