Is “the fear” the most unintentionally funny episode?
Im not even hating on this episode. I like it. But the acting is so over the top

In "Two" (Season 3, episode 1), the beginning clearly states the signs are "... in English so that we may read them more easily..." So, when the female lead speaks Russian, it's an interesting choice. Are we, the audience, not to know it's Russian? Or is it intended to say Russian is adversarial to English even in that time / context? Gibberish could have worked just as well.
SNL parody sketch of twilight zone.
Hadn’t seen this posted on here but it’s an interview with Alan Sepinwall, Author of the much anticipated Serling biography out in October. Listening to the level of detail and all the amazing people he interviews for the book (Stephen Spielberg, David Chase, Vince Gilligan, Charlie Brooker, JJ Abrams, Ben Stiller, Guillermo Del Toro, Rob Mcelhenney, etc.) just got me so excited for it. Pre-ordered it immediately!
The author did an AMA on this subreddit recently too! Very cool.
It doesn't even necessarily have to be a high quality top ten episode itself, but which episodes had the best acting performances where the performances were emotionally truthful and it engaging to actually stay with you even if the episode had a weak script or ending? For me two very good episodes that have great performances are Lois Nettleton in The Midnight Sun and Gladys Cooper in Nothing in the Dark. An example of an average to poor episode like Uncle Simon still had a very memorable performance by Constance Ford.
Still red cuz it’s fresh and I have keratosis 🙈
I love the one where the criminal gets shot and goes to what he thinks is Heaven but it turns out to be hell.
I watched this episode for the first time the other day, and was interested to find that Dick York (Hector Poole) and Hayden Rorke (Mr. Sykes) both appear in this episode together. York and Rorke would of course go on to play leading mortal characters in rival magic-based sitcoms -York as Darrin Stephens in "Bewitched" and Rorke as Dr. Bellows in "I Dream of Jeannie"
It's always interesting to me when I have retroactive recognition experiences like that on TZ -to see actors/actresses who you recognize from their later work appear on the show, especially two in one episode. York, of course, had already appeared in "The Purple Testament" before this episode
Did anyone else feel Sandra took the news a little too easily? She just walks off like "oh well... off to find someone my age..." On the other hand, she only spent one night with Commander Douglas. I'm undecided on her.
Its year 2026, i am 21 year old man, creative man , and i dont get impressed quickly. Few days ago I began watching The Twilight zone by Rod Serling, because i am a fan of Beyond Belief: Fact or fiction. And i never been so impressed in my life. Themes, plots and stories are so timeless, perfectly landed, with masterful writing and sometimes with gut twisting storylines. I especially love the stories where mundane reality of mundane person is torn apart. For example Person or persons unknown, mirror image, a world of difference... What are your toughts on the show? And why you enjoy it, if you enjoy it.
I started watching Twilight Zone thanks to the New Years marathon. “22” is one of the first episodes I ever saw. I sat on the edge of my seat! Come on Rod Serling, scare me to death! It’s because of this episode my daughter refuses to sit in row 22 anywhere, especially on an airplane! Do you remember the first episode you watched?
The Sci-Fi channel annual marathon they did many years ago introduced me to this amazing show. And usually on this day, I watch a couple episodes (or a lot - depending on what we do on the holiday). Hope everyone can watch at least an episode or two today! And hope everyone has a fantastic Independence Day!
What is the aesthetic of mid/late 80s- early 90s sci-fi/horror/drama/fantasy anthology television?
... I know there are more shows:
-Tales from the Darkside
-Monsters
-New Alfred Hitchcock
-80s Twilight Zone
-Amazing Stories
-Ray Bradbury Theatre
-Tales from the Crypt
A bit broad, but all of these shows evoke a cool weird afternoon DAYTIME overcast eerie feeling; home alone while everyone is at work (like missing school as a kid) w/ good weird synth and background music... and although they were just tv shows all of these shows have a handful of masterpiece episodes that will creep you out.
This intro of TFD captures the weird creepy synth with the daytime nature clips
Just a heads up. The "ROD, WHITE AND BLUE" Marathon has started on Heroes and Icons.
Only 1 VHS was in the lot, the rest are all Betamax. Some are even sealed! I think I lucked out at only $1/each. Bonus points for being found in the Binghamton area!
Before anyone asks, yes, I do have a Betamax player to play them.
Not just world events and politics but even day to day seeing everyone (including myself) with their challenges and life things going on. I could picture Rod Serling narrate something about many of our situations. Though I'm not always sure what he would say.
Like the title says - if you like "Twilight Zone", you should check out:

My favorite season has to be 3. The Passersby, Still Valley, The Jungle, The Dummy, I sing the body electric. All some of my favorite episodes. What do you think??
Nothing beats a long weekend Twilight Zone marathon 🎉
