CapOne Shopping Rewards paid out differently than expected.

I activated and used a few CapOne shopping rewards. These appeared within the account log in under the rewards section. Mine were $10 off a $20 purchase at Dollar General, $15 off a $25 purchase at Lowes and a couple of others. Click the tile to activate, then go to the physical local store to make the purchases using the CapOne card.

For some reason, I was looking for them to appear as statement credits on the card itself. Instead they appeared on the Rewards tab and had to be redeemed as statement credits.

Extra step, but they all paid out fine. Nearly $40 overall.

Dashcams and similar devices

I see a few people mentioning them.

Are you referring to factory installed systems or addons?

Does your system record front and rear? Sides?

Does it really make a difference in a claim?

Can it be used against you?

In states where two party consent is required to record, how are these systems affected?

WHY are we getting all these weird Meet Me posts?

You may not be seeing them very often as they usually get filtered, but I still see a few a week.

I've also seen a few asking about jobs in the USA rather than about jobs in the company.

Are people just confusing the USAA name with U.S.A. the country?

I've done some things in ModTools to wipe some of them, but if you see [Removed By Reddit], those are done by some kind of Admin tool they don't tell us much about.

This stuff was left untouched here for so long, it's taken a while to clear the Mod Queue of reports and other problems that were never acted on.

If you see one that gets through the various levels of filters, Report it. I check the Queue several times a day and there is a special flag that appears for Reported posts or comments.

S10, E12; Bearly Men

Tim Conway debuts as Ephraim Wanker, Peggy's Paw.

Somehow we get from there to a Dan'l Boone skit of wrasslin' bars, a reference to JellyStone Park and evoking a Three Stooges gag.

At least, Lucky got a playmate.

REMOVE Close Other Tabs From Right Click Menu

Just did it again. Right Click to close a tab, hit the wrong option and closed all 20+ tabs instead of just the one I wanted to close.

How can I remove the 'Close Other Tabs' option?

I JUST realized WHO is the voice of Peg's Unseen Mother.

How did I not know how famous she was for so many roles, on and off screen (as a voice actor)?

Kathleen Freeman was one of so very many in Hollywood that you almost instantly recognize the face even if you never knew the name.

The voice of Peg's mother was none other than the inhibitable ....

An amazingly long list of absolutely CLASSIC movies and TV shows:

>Freeman's early film career began with numerous nameless roles in the late 1940s and 50s in such films as "The Naked City" (1948), "Dream Wife" (1953) "The Fly" (1958). She was especially memorable in a hilarious supporting role in "Singin' in the Rain" (1952) as the voice teacher of Jean Hagen. The actress also enjoyed a 10 film collaboration with Jerry Lewis ranging from "Three Ring Circus" (1954) through "The Nutty Professor" (1963) and "The Disorderly Orderly" (1964) and winding up with "Which Way to the Front?" (1970).

>In her long and prolific career (with some 100 features and several hundred TV shows to her credit), Freeman always proved the stalwart character player whether playing a frontierswoman ("The Ballad of Cable Hogue" 1970) or an officious clerk ("Teen Wolf Two" 1987). She has been a frequent presence on the small screen as well with regular roles on several series ("Topper," CBS 1953-54; "It's About Time," CBS 1966-67; "The Beverly Hillbillies," CBS 1969-71) and TV-movies (e.g., "The Last Ride of the Dalton Gang," NBC 1970). One of Freeman's better-remembered battleaxes was her Sister Mary Stigmata from "The Blues Brothers" (1980) and "Blues Brothers 2000" (1998).

>In a similar spoof vein, "Dragnet" (1987) saw her as a belligerent landlady, and "Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult" (1994) presented her as the tougher-than-leather mother of Fred Ward.

She could be one of the most famous actors ever to (not) appear on the show.

OK, this is weird.

DSL ActionTec 3260

Browsing as normal, no issues, then suddenly offline. Waited a while since brief outages happen. Hour or so later, I decided to check the outage map. None shown. Chat Bot Tech popped up, tried a few things ... NADA

Last resort before a Tech Ticket was a hard reset of the modem ... toothpick in the hole.

That restored service, but I lost the SSID I'd been using for years. There have always been two, one for 2.4 and another for 5. The old one for 2.4 is gone and both 2.4 and 5 now show the same SSID, which means the Key has to be changed. That means I have to reset almost everything in the house that used the old one.

I'm going to try setting the key back to the old one, but I'll still have to rest everything to the new SSID, so I may not gain anything.

Country Based Post Flairs

Many questions can be country, or at least region specific. Regulations and experiences can vary widely.

Post Flairs have been available for a while now, but few members use them when submitting a post.

Let's try to work on that.

Combine SH and Old and I'd be Shold!

Old is much, much easier to read, but lacks some of the frills like image insertion. The sidebars on SH work better overall and are more configurable, but the whole center section of Posts and Comments is too cluttered, small and hard to read.

Give us the function of SH with the appearance of Old.

Scrap the Compact and Card view option in SH and add a decent, but unobtrusive thumbnail image.

ModQueues can be done the same way, use the function of SH, but make them look Old.

At the very least, give us the option of adjusting text size without having to set that in the browser.

And ELIMINATE the option of forcing Post Flairs!!!!!!

EQ-12; Convert NVME slot To Sata SSD?

Apparently my new (as yet unopened) EQ12 only has NVME slots for both drives. I have a spare 512 Sata SSD I was hoping to use as the E: drive.

Is there an adapter to plug into the NVME slot and will accept a Sata SSD that will fit inside the EQ12 case?

Looks like I can only find the opposite so far (plugs into Sata slot and accepts NVME drive). Something along this line:

Reminder: How was your experience with Lowe’s?

Solicitation for survey after pickup order.

Well, the Fulfillment Rep brought me a container of a chemical product that was actively leaking and then got a bit fussy when I asked for another.

Is that what they want on the form?

Will that help anyone?

Admins: Rule 5 Clarification?

Myself and another Mod have received an offer for a 'free' product ($500+ value) in exchange for a review of it.

The offer is phrased as in regards to the review only, no reference to Moderation or community favors.

It has not been posed to the general community as far as I know.

So far, my stance has been a hard no with a caution about making such offers.

Admins: Where does this fall regarding Rule 5?

(No, I'm not back on MS for any duration. Didn't know where else to ask this.)

S10, E4; Reverend Al

When NO MA'AM gets upset about a new beer tax, they concoct the notion of becoming a church. This earns them the wrath of Marcy's FANG with predictable results.

During the high a theme park is proposed. It all crashes down when Rev Al admits to consorting with his wife.

Invoked in various ways, KMart, HeeHaw, Dione Warwick, Jimmy Swaggart, Green Acres, Arnold Ziffel, Jim and Tammy Faye and a few others.
