Torin & Company, is there any update on this?
I have been very excited for this game since it's announcement almost 2 years ago. Would love to hear any update on the game at all!

Hello all!
Just wanted to take a moment to post photos of my Pokémon Legacy Trilogy. I made these from inside gadget flash carts, and commissioned two artists on Etsy to make me the labels and boxes. Love to play these on my Chromatic (minus emerald - but Chromatic Advance anyone!). Highly recommend the Pokémon Legacy Rom Hacks.
All credit to SmithPlays Pokémon for making my favorite romhacks!
I think Mort's Garage did a great review of M64, new game releases, and the pro controller in his video today. At one point he talks about the first game he played on M64 - 007 The World is not Enough. He said he tried the game on a 1080p TV, a plasma, and 4k Sony OLED, but no matter what display he used or settings he changed, he could not get the muddy look of the game to change.
He then showed a side by side of M64 and Analogue 3D.... wow it was a big difference! I think the difference is HDR. Mod Retro has already said that will get an update down the road. Mort did praise M64 for its overclocking performance. I think Mod Retro focused heavily on frame rate and performance for the launch, and will close the gap in graphic look over time.
As someone who does not buy analogue products, I do have to admit the image on the right looks so good, and is a better experience graphically right now. I also believe Mod Retro will get there, and I am happy I purchased M64, because I think Mod Retro cares in a way that matters to me about the gaming community.
Mod Retro, if you read this, thank you for all you have done so far. And please........ release a Chromatic Advance as soon as possible, and never stop printing new games for Chromatic or M64.
Previously Mod Retro had announced the M64 game boxes will be the same size as the NTSC US game boxes, but I now can confirm they are larger. I had purchased Nintendo 64 .35mm 14mil PET acid free game box protectors from Retro Protection prior to the launch to make sure I had them ready to go, and the Mod Retro M64 game boxes are too large.
Hoping to find some that fit these game boxes. Anyone had any success finding any so far?
Mod Retro, if you are reading this, I encourage you to make them and sell them direct for Chromatic and M64 games.
Either way, I am kind of bummed out.
Hello all!
I cannot believe it is already August, time goes so fast. That just means before we know it Mod Retro will be announcing Chromatic Advance. I speculate that it will release next year sometime. I think one of my favorite games is Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga, and I am planning that to be my first game I play on Chromatic Advance.
I want to prepare for the release by buying up all my favorite GBA games from now until then! Please comment and tell me your favorite games, and what you believe is worth picking up, and why!
The thought of new GBA game releases through Mod Retro gets me very excited. I cannot wait to see classic releases. Maybe Mod Retro can convince Konami to do a Ninja Five-O rerelease? I also would love to see Goodboy Galaxy get a release as well!
I sold an item above $100, and shipped it out after purchasing the label through eBay. I just got it back in the mail today with a sticker on it that says "Return to Sender, Insufficient Address. Unable to forward. Return to Sender." Since the label was purchased through eBay it used the address they have set up with eBay.
I have not had any correspondence from the customer yet. I also have not reached out to the customer or eBay, and have not done anything with the package yet. What is my best course of action? This has never happened to me before.
Sad part is the item lost value since they purchased it, as well.
I was given this laminated GBP ips kit without a ribbon cable. It is untested. I think it might be a lot intended for the GBP color? Can anyone ID this and point me in the right direction to find a ribbon cable for it?
After giving people a new shipping window for the thousandth time two months ago, today Incube8 released a video stating they ship all their materials from Montreal to Shanghai China for assembly, and they got stuck in customs in China for governmental checks, causing another delay.
Incube8, stop giving shipping windows. I am pretty disappointed since the reason for your last delay was making new inserts out of coconut pulp to make assembly in house faster. What gives?
You say delays in China will be fixed by mid July. Do you actually mean it this time?
I have been modding consoles for years now. I kind of want to see Mod Retro hop into creating custom mod parts for consoles they won't release.
For example, Retro Remake has their Super 5 OLED screen, but it is a 1080p OLED and Switch Lite can only push out a 720p signal, so there is a slight blur around fine details & text, or a less sharp look to it because the 1080p screen is not true integer scaling (x2 from 720p).
It is components like this I would love to see Mod Retro make and sell. Here is my short list. What do you think?
Of course when you enter the house for the first time while the squatter is away, you break your neck looking to see their TV placement.
11 months ago, Palmer Luckey did an interview with Off Topic where he admitted at the time Mod Retro was doing M64, and that a Gameboy Advance was also being planned.
Then he went on (around the 21:32 timestamp) to talk about how he and Mod Retro have figured out how a new way to build modern scanning ray tube displays. He explains it is not a pure CRT, but will have identical visual characteristics.
And now in Mod Retro's new M64 promotional picture...... they have a CRT style TV behind the M64, with Mod Retro's logo on it.
I believe they are going to release new "CRT" TVs (Palmer called them Quantum Ray Tube) in the future.
Would you buy this, and are you as excited as I am for it!
Wanted to make a post about Retro Protection. I use their products to protect my entire gaming collection, mainly for my Mod Retro products. I have included photos of how they arrive and my collection inside the protectors.
Retro Protection launched in 2011, so they have been doing this for a while, and their products are quality. What you need to know about their protectors:
They have applicable various products compatible with your Mod Retro collections that you should know about:
Currently the dimensions of the M64 Console & Controller boxes are not available. Once they are, I am going to request the owner of Retro Protection work on getting console box protectors as well.
How do you protect your games? :)
Monday we will see the reveal of and, the pricing of, consoles, controllers, and games announced. I am looking through the colors of all the consoles and controllers, and I really like almost all of them! I think clear is my least favorite, but I cannot choose between Purple or Red.
What color do you intend on purchasing?
During the AMA today it was confirmed games never released on N64 will have a home on M64.
I love speculation. It’s something that is always fun to ponder. There has been a recent post talking about a theory that Mod Retro has been working with Rare. Such a cool thing to think we could see re-releases of games like Banjo Kazooie and Goldeneye.
But games never released on N64… the possibilities.
Mod Retro has worked with Ubisoft and Argonaut to release classics like Rayman and Croc on Chromatic. I think we will see Buck Bumble released, but what if we get PS1 games? Croc, Rayman, Rayman2!
There are some titles I’d love to see if they ported from PlayStation - Lucky Luke and Punky Skunk.
What would you love to see? I am excited for 2D games as well.
With Brothership's sales number (almost 2 million?), I’ve been thinking about the next Mario & Luigi game a ton lately. The series used to be pretty consistent—usually every 3-5 years or so. Brothership felt like a nice fresh start with the new art style and everything, but I’m already itching for whatever comes after. I need more for my collection lol. What do you hope they do next?
Bring back some classic villains or locations we haven’t seen in a while?
Maybe throw Wario and Waluigi in as playable or major characters?
Go back to allowing A & B presses to have Mario & Luigi jump separately?
Or go full wild with a new setting (underwater kingdom? Cloud world? Time travel again?)
Part of me fears Brothership did not do well enough, and that we won't be getting a new game this generation, but i hope I am wrong. What are your thoughts?
So a new video came out showing off their new coconut pulp molds. It looks similar to the previous one, and definitely looks like they fixed their concern on how long it takes to fold each one. Their projected time for Infinity & Dracula is now mid to late June as apparently their manufacturing partners are manufacturing ahead of schedule.
What are your thoughts on biodegradable materials being used for the mold inside the box?
If there is another delay, I will be very disappointed since they made it a point to tell all their customers they will have it out by the end of June.
I have been buying games with missing labels and broken pcbs, cleaning/repairing the pcbs if needed, then creating custom cart shells for them. Here are some ones I have done thus far. What other games can you suggest that I should give the same treatment?
I love that Mod Retro created a small library of games, perfect for collectors like myself. I have been getting every game, and don't regret it one bit. I also have purchased carts with missing labels to get games cheap, then aesthetically modding them to add to my collection. Ill include some photos of the carts I have done so far!
"Hello Infinity customer,
We wanted to give you a quick update regarding your Infinity pre-order.
Unfortunately, the fulfillment timeline has been pushed to the end of June (video explanation below).
We sincerely apologize for this additional delay.
To improve the long-term quality and speed of our production pipeline, we are currently upgrading our assembly process with brand-new molded coconut pulp inserts and a new fulfillment workflow."

In the update video, the owner straight up said the delay is because they're replacing the folded cardboard inserts with molded coconut pulp ones. They don't want to manually unfold/fold 3,000–4,000 of them by hand just for Infinity (not even counting their other games). Apparently it would take all their staff 5 full days of doing nothing but opening inserts.
Look, I get wanting to make assembly easier going forward. My problem is this: You've known your exact order numbers for Infinity for months. You've known these cardboard inserts need to be folded by hand since day one of manufacturing. How did this only become a crisis right when you're supposed to be shipping? Why wasn't this figured out during the tail end of development instead of at the last possible second?
They mentioned that taking 5 days just to fold inserts would "back up logistics and customer service." Bro, how many emails and messages are you getting from Infinity backers asking where their game is? Is it really worse to shut down for 5 days and actually get 3-4k copies out the door than to keep stringing everyone along?
I like Incube8's games. I really do. But the business side is painful. Every single one of their products gets delayed multiple times, and it's always some last-minute roadblock. Just stop giving firm release dates if you can't hit them. Tell us up front "we don't know" instead of the 500th delay feeling like a slap in the face.
The year is 2028. Its been 2 years since the launch of the Mod Retro M64. Mod Retro has teased making a GBA Chromatic for about 8 months straight. You are hit with the very first promotional graphics above! (yes I drew this myself in paint)
Boy am I excited for a Chromatic Advance with a slew of new games and accessories. What do you want to see them release? These are the releases I would love to see!
