I just started the game and just reached australia for the first time after going trough the portal.

I connected all the places in mexico (east coast), but havent upped them to 5 stars yet bc of narrative pressure and proceeded to the story objectives.

Should i backtrack and max them out before going forward with australia or i can leave them there for now? I saw there are still a number of red unconnected areas on the west side so i suppose i will be back there eventually but i also know that preppers and logistic centers give out upgrades if you improve their level, i think the ex geophysics lab has good stuff for the trike bc i unlocked their armor upgrade and i guess there is more to come.

Please don't spoil anything, just tell me if i can let it be for now or it's worth doing it before moving forward.
