Dreams (1984)

A short lived CBS sitcom about a fictional band from Philadelphia trying to make it big. 80s teen heartthrobs John Stamos (Post General Hospital,Pre Full House) & Jami Gertz played two of the band members. The show would often feature music videos of the group and covered the song “Alone” (a few years before Heart made it a hit). While Stamos was popular with teenage girls at the time, the show wasn’t and got the boot after 5 episodes. 7 were left unaired. All 12 episodes and a documentary about the show can be found on the YouTube channel devoted to the short lived sitcom.

Morningstar/Eveningstar (1986)

Never posted before so thought I’d do it. Morningstar/Eveningstar was a family drama in the style of “The Waltons” (Waltons Creator Earl Hamner Jr was the mastermind behind this). It focused on an orphanage dubbed Morningside that moves into a senior citizen retirement place after it was destroyed by a fire. A pre Kevin Arnold Fred Savage and a then unknown Joaquin Phoenix played two of the orphans. This was sadly one of the last roles for the great Scatman Crothers. Fun Fact:no Wikipedia page exists for this short lived show despite a very well known cast.
