This makes me sad
For the last few months, I've been starting the game, logging in and then immediatelly quitting.
There is no point to anything in this "game". There is no real exploration and there never will be. Everything is the same, all the missions are exactly the same. Everything is done via magic beams.
Salvage, mining, combat are all boring and barebones. There is no challenege or any point to doing any of them. There is no survival in the game. Ship interiors are pretty, but useless and I doubt they'll ever be used for anything other than immersion, since at least 50% if not more of the playerbase do not want a space sim.
When I joined, the most fun I had was actually responding to medical beacons and saving people, that have found themselves in some trouble, but that is all gone and will probably never return.
The refueling they added is absolutely pointless, since there is always a station nearby you can hop to and refuel.
Pyro was supposed to be one station only, no settlements, but it's just like Stanton, but orange.
Engineering is lackluster and has 0 imagination behind it, as are most mechanics in the game.
There is absolutely no danger from the Black. Dead of a Sapceman was and still is an amazing idea, but will never be implemented since all the cry babies will start whining. The playerbase decision carry no weight to the world and I doubt they ever will.
My own fault for probably expecting a living, breathing space sim.
