TubeTime+ — turns your Plex library into live TV channels (Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch). Looking for beta testers on TestFlight

TubeTime+ connects to your Plex server and turns your libraries into linear TV channels with continuous 24/7 programming. You open the app and something is already playing, like real TV, no browsing, no picking. I built it because I was spending more time scrolling my library than watching it.

What it does:

  • Generates channels from your libraries: one library per channel, several mixed together (Movies + TV), or from a playlist
  • Real grid guide (EPG): what's on now and for the next few hours, including what already aired
  • Channel surfing: channel up/down, and each channel has its own name, color and zap transition (static, curtain, ident card)
  • Optional commercial breaks between programs, fed from a playlist or library of your choice — station idents, old ads, whatever you've got
  • Optional CRT/VHS retro filter
  • Direct Play first, Direct Stream second, transcoding only as a last resort
  • Music libraries too: artist channels, plus a proper music player with queue and a minimized bar so it keeps playing while you browse
  • Library browsing with search, sorting and filters; movie/show pages with IMDb/TMDB/RT ratings, cast and trailers
  • Remembers your audio/subtitle language across episodes of a series
  • Plex Home support: switch users, PIN-protected profiles included
  • Sleep timer, playback history, favorites, and you can hide libraries or channels you don't care about
  • Channels, favorites and settings sync between devices via iCloud
  • No account, no ads, no tracking. It talks directly to your server and nothing leaves your network

Per platform:

  • Apple TV — the main experience: full screen guide, zapping with the Siri Remote, and the Top Shelf shows what's on air right now
  • iPhone — full app, plus a home screen widget with what's on and coming up, Live Activity / Dynamic Island while a channel is playing, and PiP
  • iPad — its own layout: sidebar with libraries and filters, live channel in two columns (player + what's next + the grid below)
  • Apple Watch — shows what's currently playing and works as a remote control for the Apple TV app: it finds the TV on your local network and you flip channels straight from your wrist (falls back through the iPhone if the TV isn't reachable)

Requirements: your own Plex Media Server, or one shared with you. The app hosts no content of its own. There's a demo mode on the sign-in screen if you want to look around without a server.

I need help testing it. The beta is free and open on TestFlight: https://testflight.apple.com/join/mgphsfKx just install TestFlight and open the link.

Thank you!

Smart Shopping List+ — grocery list app with budget tracking, price comparison, and price history.

Hey everyone! I built a grocery shopping app for iPhone (with Apple Watch, widget, and iPad support). The core idea: know what you'll spend before you reach the checkout — and pay less next time.

What it does:

- 🛒 Lists with budgets: set a spending cap and watch it update in real time as you check items off; the app warns you before something blows the budget.

- 🏪 Shopping Mode: a full-screen view designed for use inside the store — quick filters (to buy/bought/essentials), search, a Contacts-style side index, and aisle-based sorting.

- ⚖️ Price comparator: compare up to 4 products by volume, weight, or count (the classic "is the 5 kg bag actually cheaper than the 2 kg one?"), including deals like "buy 3 pay 2".

- 📷 Scan shelf price tags: point the camera at the shelf label and the app fills in price and content automatically. It reads receipts too.

- 📊 Price history & reports: what you paid for each product over time, where it was cheapest, spending by category/month, PDF and CSV export.

- 📏 Size variations (new in this version): buy the same product in multiple sizes (Small/Medium/Large), each with its own price.

- 🍲 Recipes & pantry: import a recipe from a link and send the ingredients to your list; track what you have at home and get restock suggestions.

- 👨‍👩‍👧 Shared lists: build the list together with your family in real time (iCloud).

- ⌚ Live Activity, home screen widget, and an Apple Watch app to check off items without taking your phone out.

During the beta, all premium features are unlocked for free. The app is fully localized in English and Portuguese.

Any feedback is hugely appreciated — bugs, suggestions, confusing screens. Thanks! 🙏
