Was asked to show some pictures with the grips off my TP.70 chambered in 22 lr. I’m researching how to disassemble and after I am confident, will break it down and post more pictures.
Hi everyone. Recently bought a box full of grips and found this set. They don’t seem to be Smith originals. The stamp doesn’t look correct. Does anyone know anything about these grips? Thanks🤙🏼
Modern Colt & modern Smith. Both American made iron🤙🏼
Just picked up my Norton TP-70 25acp. Complete package. Left my camera at work, so these are the GunBroker auction pics. Will post my pics later. All matching numbers. Ordered replacement grips because one grip panel is cracked.
I’ve been wanting to pick up a Colt mouse gun and found this 1908 Pocket Hammerless 25acp to begin my new collection. This is dated to 1939 and I am happy with the condition this is in.
This is the earliest 950 I have been able to add to my collection. It’s stamped 1954 on the frame. Meaning this is one of the first production export variants. Prior, they would stamp with Roman numerals. Glad to have found one in this condition.
When I get vintage guns, I always remove their original grips and leave them in their box. I then get a set of my collection of modern grips and stain, and coat with polyurethane/mineral spirit blend to protect them. I think they look better with a sheen and the process brings out the wood grain more.
I’m asked all the time is the bluing the same on the new Pythons. I’ve told everyone that the vintage Pythons that I own, their bluing is a LITTLE deeper. I have 2 modern blued Pythons and their blue is amazing, but just a LITTLE less amazing than the vintage ones I own. Hard for it to show in pictures, but I tried. The first picture is my 1966 Python. The second picture is the Python I bought in 2025 new. In the following pics, the vintage is without grips.
Have a bunch of revolvers for friends and family to have fun. From top to bottom:

RIA M206 Hammerless 38 Special
Charter Arms 22 Mag
P32’s are my favorite deep carry. It’s so easily carried, it just disappears.
Haven’t had a chance to shoot this pistol, but am amazed at the quality of its manufacturing. I won a Norton TP-70 in 25acp that I will be picking up soon with original box. Will post later
Would like to encourage other mouse/pocket gun owners to share some pics here. Trying to expand the engagement for all mouse gun collectors.
Got my 6” GP100 in the late 80’s. Maybe 1989. Other than changing the grip, this is cherry. Just have to polish out the scratches every now and then. Cylinders turn ring. Lock up is tight.
Like both of these makes but the P32 is the hands down winner when it comes to fun range time. 🤙🏼
Although the Phoenix Arms HP22A/HP25A are almost the same size as my Keltec P32’s, they’re a lot heavier. But I consider the P32 a solid mouse gun, especially the size. So despite the weight, I guess the HP would also be considered a mouse gun. Would anyone rule out the HP22A’s? They’re fun shooters. The ammo and the gun are also cheap. Guilt free shooting range days🤙🏼
Just got this Beretta 21a. Safety is broken, but I have fixed this issue many times. Replace the pin and spring. If that doesn’t fix the problem, then replace the whole safety. I have a large parts bin to pull from. Next, I will pull the wood stocks and refinish them. Light sanding and then a few coats of Minwax and mineral spirits. Then glue on the replacement medallions I have. The last step is to use OOOO steel wool on the barrel and slide, then blue the parts. Since the parts are small, the bluing should be very forgiving and hide any imperfections. At least, that’s the plan.🤙🏼
